Vintage LV is the just the best. I wanted a throw around speedy 35 for travel and just lugging around without worry. I found one from Japan for just over $100 and then paid a cobbler to add the bandouliere style straps (again - didn’t want to invest much!) and redo the existing leather and it’s AMAZING! I love using it for travel, work, day trips. And all in it was under $300 with brand new vachetta and it’s that thick vintage canvas! 🖤

I bought my vintage 30 about two years ago, my "LuLu" was made in France in 1996. I love her, her zippers are all functional, whoever had her last took care of her, she was a little dirty, but I cleaned the handles with a damp towel, let them air dry then put the Apple guard on them. she is brand new! I would highly recommend that you not wear her with the strap though, it will damage it wherever you decide to put it. She is meant to be a handbag. Congrats on your new bag. 🥰

I love that this bag is Vintage. I have two 1 Vintage Speedy, I think it’s gorgeous. I also have another speedy that’s going to be vintage in a couple of yours. That is so cool that your bag is 25 yrs old. It’s great for it being 25 years old.

I also got old Speedy from 2004 for a funny price. The only "damage" were dirty handles. I got leather care set from Amazon (nothing too expensive) and had to do some 3 times cleaning (leather cleaner, let it dry, then conditioning because leather will dry out a little bit from the cleaner). I repeated that for 3 days and bag is like new. All the black gunk from handles was gone and only thing that stayed is beautiful patina. Only drawback of that old style of thick canvas is that I cannot make creases to go away. I stuff the bag when I don't use it and it is quite heavy when I wear it but creases stayed.

I purchased a vintage Speedy 25 in the monogram print from 1995 last year. I sent it to LV, and had all the exterior leather( including the zipper pull) replaced. It looks amazing, and was still less expensive than buying a new one. I love LV vintage pieces, and just bought another Speedy 25 in Epi leather from 1991!☺️☺️ Oh.. the leather version seems a little bit bigger than the monogram version.

My friend recommended I do exactly that - to bring the Speedy into LV to get all the vachetta leather replaced. I may go in and ask for a quote. But I also like the idea of DIY cleaning it myself to see how it turns out. 🤔

Shiny! I love that look. I have a Sac Athletisme (luggage/duffle) and the canvas is definitely thicker. All the vintage LVs are much better quality.

What a gorgeous speedy collection! My 3 speedy 30s are my most used bags. The Monogram speedy 30 was the first LV bag I got 19 years ago along with the other 2 prints I purchased years later that I use all the time from running errands and traveling since the bags are so versatile. Can you do a what fits video comparison with all the sizes you have? Also can you do a what fits in the 35 for travel like can it fit an Alma bag, the lv croisette and pochette Métis along with things you would take in a plane with you like a kindle, headphones , iPad and cosmetic pouch for toiletries? I like to have my Alma or croisette for day time and probably like 3 clutches for going out at night for trips to mix things up. If that all can fit, then I will be sold on a speedy 35! 😊

Absolutely, will do a comparison / what fits video soon! As for the speedy 35 for travel, I shared how I packed it for a trip a while back. It should be in my LV playlist. Also, I know for a fact the Pochette Metis fits inside the 35 easily, along with many other items so you should be fine if you want to pack the Croisette or similar bag.

I think they have a pretty tight inventory and when they do auctions, they get wiped out pretty fast but they’ll restock. I follow them on IG now and I see how quickly their items go. 💨

I still have my first Speedy from 1995. The canvas is beautiful. However, the leather on the handles has been soiled over the years, and nothing I have tried even cleaners designed for vachetta leather has removed it. Looks like you scored a beauty

That would be great. I did try the vachetta cleaner from Lovin My Bags, which several people recommended on a Facebook Louis Vuitton page with no luck.

A vintage Speedy 30 monogram bag is perfect, especially since it was initially made in a 30cm size. When I visited the website, it was only available to subscribers.

Congratulations! I love vintage lv. My friend own facebook live business( loving luxury) A lots of goodies vintages from Japan. Cheaper and great. If you want clean it. Recommend in ragu brother in New Jersey and Owner very honest and nice.

No more brand new bags for me. I'm strictly vintage from this point on.

Love the bag, but the straps look way lighter but im not sure whether youll be using the strap all that much since its more of a hand held bag for the most part. I love your jewelry collections especially the ones from way back.
