For the squeaks of the bag- I had a coach bag that did that, brought it to the store, and they told me to condition the parts that hold the handles. Went home and put leather conditioner inside those brass squares with a q-tip and it stoped! Hope this helps :).

thankyou so much for this in depth review, i found this bag in a preloved website and considering buying it since i love nano bags and the pochette that we get with it, have you ever tried attaching a longer chain to the pochette to use as a crossbody?

Sorry I thought I responded to this! There is only one side with a ring for you to attach a strap. So you’d have to add an insert if you wanted to add anything additional or you could try to elongate the strap already attached.

I have both those bags I always get compliments on the extra small one lol. Have you ever added a crossbody strap to the bigger one? I want to try but I don’t want it to look tacky.

Girl the mini is too cute 😊 and no I haven’t added a crossbody strap that’s a good idea though! I don’t think it’d look tacky at all depending on the strap of course lol.

The inside in not leather. It is canvas. It is not lined it is the back of the LV canvas that is in the outside. Your bag is the vintage Papillon so the outside leather was treated leather. It was made to look like that.

No. It just has where it’s made from on the mini. The larger bag has a product code.

How can one authenticate this bag?

You could always send it to get authenticated. I didn’t mention it but I do have a date code on the opposite side of the D ring. It’s fleshed against the bag on right up top near the zipper. The companion doesn’t have a date code so I’m not sure how you’d authenticate that on your own unless you’re familiar with LV.
