It a sweater clip from when girls wore matching sweater sets in the 50's. They wore the sweater loose over their shoulders and held in place with the sweater clip.

Hi Sally, your color-changing stone may be Alexandrite, it looks different in different types of lighting. Try it outdoors, under fluorescent, and then incandescent light and see if it changes. I love the carnelian earrings, they are gorgeous.

The 'b' is the year it was assayed and the anchor is for Birmingham assay office. Depending on the type of 'b' and the shape of the cartouche it's in you can tell what year it was assayed at the Birmingham office. Some very nice pieces at the end.

Animals are a lot like kids ,remember when they would always start up when you got on the phone ?mine did .I through a wooden clog at oone of my sons once and put a dent in a knotty pine cabinet and he still reminds me of it .He will be 59 this year

I loved the pendant the religious pendant with a crowns on mother Mary and Jesus head that was lovely and unusual I've never seen anything like that before I like the compact was a Victorian lady on it the glass heart was gorgeous and very rare I think and those were some of my favorite things. I found a Lady Hamilton watch with gold and diamonds for 50 cents at a yard sale.

Alexandrite changes color from purple to shades of aqua. Your ring may be that gem. It is one color in natural light and then another in incandescent light.

Hello Sally, that religious silver box was supposed to house a rosary. It was the silver box with blue velvet lining.

I have never seen so many weird things in a jewelry bag. A toy car, pencil sharpener, a rock, a spoon. Like "Hey this jewelry bag's not quite full grab some stuff out of the junk drawer and toss it in here."

I use the 18k acid test , if i’m really not sure i take it to the jeweler. i’m guessing the victorian ones are from 1920s or earlier

Where did you buy the vintage bag and how much was it? Just curious Beautiful pieces!!!!! . I think the old mouth piece was probably an old Deco cigarette holder.. The green makeup container was for rouge, the other side held a powder puff . Loved watching this!
