I remember as a kid in the 70's, the Kodak and Polaroid commercials always seemed to add to the feeling of the season.

Thank you. So many familiar sounds. I picture laying on the couch in my parent's living room, my parents and brothers watching Christmas specials, I'm half-asleep, warm, safe and not a worry in the world.

I’ve never seen any of these commercials because I grew up in the 90s but I’ve always loved classic movies, and watching classic commercials from the 80s 90s, and sometimes the 70s. Idk why but I just do! Anyways, have a great thanksgiving everyone and a great Christmas!!!! 🎄🎄🎄

Wow. . .there sure were a LOT of commercials for Polaroid cameras back then! At a time when most camera film had to be taken to a place to be developed (usually the local Wal-Mart), and you couldn't see the results for at least a couple of days (unless you paid extra for one-hour film developing), having a camera that would let you see the picture instantly was a HUGE deal in the pre-digital era. I had a Polaroid camera as a kid, but the film was REALLY expensive (about $10 for ten pictures), so obviously I had to be REALLY careful about what I took pictures of!

I remember putting a roll of film in a special envelope and sending it in the mail to get pictures developed.; it took 7 to 10 days to get your pictures back. There wasn't a Walmart or Walgreens. If you wanted to, there were a couple places to take film to be processed in an hour, but it was expensive.

I remember the Mario, this had to be pre 90s since there's no mention of Super Mario Bros 3. Has to be 89.

What is so cool to me is playing NES with my kids. A few weeks ago my youngest 12 beat Mario 3 after months of playing it with me during the summer, I was a proud papa for sure.

I remember most of these commercials. Brings back a lot of good memories. Thanks for posting. I still have a Polaroid camera that takes time zero film. Can't find film for it. For anyone that's interested you can get a DVD that has 2 hours of Christmas commercials on it from the 70's and early 80's at www.skaryguyvideo.com

calleaeste junior In 1930 Ken and Ruth Wakefield opened an inn in MA which they named Toll House.Ruth did all the cookies including drop cookies made with Nestle's semisweet choc chips. Without going into more detail, at some point Ruth and Nestle's struck a deal whereby Nestle would rebrand their choc chips Neslte's Toll House semisweet choc chips, they would print Ruth's recipe on each package and she would receive a lifetime supply of their choc chips. Obviously other choc chips can be used in the recipe, but only Nestle has the right to call theirs Toll House choc chips. The inn burned down in 1984, the inn was never rebuilt, but the sign still stands, and there is a tribute marker to the famous Toll House.

It may not seem like that long ago, but my hubby and I were married in 1983 and we'll celebrate our 34th anniversary this year. Our first "baby" was born in 1985 and she'll be 33 in January! Where has the time gone?

LittleMissNurseyNurse it's definitely vintage to me. I've seen people calling late 90s early 2000s vintage which certainly is a stretch but the 80s are vintage to me. I graduated high school in 1986 and anything that takes me back to my teen years is vintage:) that was a long time ago!
