This year’s RM Sotheby’s Car Run Sunday 7 November 2021 marks the 125th anniversary of a very special milestone in motoring and lifestyle history.
The London to Brighton Veteran Car Run is the world's longest-running motoring event, held on a course between London and Brighton, England. To qualify, participating cars must have been built before 1905. It is also the world's largest gathering of veteran cars.
The run has taken place most years since its initial revival in 1927. It currently takes place on the first Sunday in November, starting at sunrise in Hyde Park, London, and mostly following the old A23 road to the finish at Brighton - a distance of 54 miles (87 km)

Beautiful vehicles. Wonderful sounds, those of long ago. The cut-off year of 1905 takes you right back to the last years of the Victorian era, and the first years of the Edwardian. Just before my parents were born (1906 and 1910).

Your parents are slightly older than my grandfather . He was born in 1918
