You ARE the Master of the Airbrush! I liked the wheels, in my day we raised the suspension hence lowering the wheels. Nowadays it seems making the wheels tuck up as far as they can go in the wheel-well making the car as low as it can go is the norm. I guess the rear wheel drive had a lot to do with it. I didn't like the flairs either. See ya Tom USA

"Where's my car?" -- I just about fell off the couch. Great episode, and I like the color. I thought you'd get a more saturated red, but it almost appeared to have a kind of pleasing burgundy color. Very pleasing with all that sparkle and depth. Great stuff as always. Love your channel.

You ought to get yourself a jar of stripper like Timerider. Over time, it starts to resemble one of the levels of hell, and it's rather pleasing to watch the car parts sinking into the foul goop. A bit like in 'Psycho', when Norman Bates pushes the car carrying the remains of Marion Crane into the swamp. Your finished Firebird is awesome. The colour and finish are just outrageously good, and it looks great sitting on those big ole' meats. Nice one.

Hey, just a little idea. If you take an electric toothbrush and you take your sandpaper wrap it around the brushes attached it at the top that's easy to do you can drill a little hole and use a little press pin to hold it in. Those are ideal for sanding very small pieces I was watching your Red Baron video and like it would have been perfect for doing the helmet and such it's pretty cool works pretty good once you put one together you kind of work out the Kinks on holding the Sandpaper on but it works real well pretty cool.

Used to have one like this and played with it to death. Later they released a gold one based on this casting with spoilers and a Firebird sticker on the hood. When I spotted it in the toy shop, I hid it at the back of the rack so no one would buy it till I earned a few bucks the next week so I could buy it. This kind of muscle car shape imprint is impossible to shed even 40 years later.

Here's a thought if you do the gloss black with a your gold over top of it but do it on a Firebird so this way you can actually ghost the flame Firebird Through the gold. Can lick cut out the Decal a out spray the gold over it peel it off and you have a black Firebird under the gold Chrome faded in I bet that would look sick

Ok I was starting to get a little apprehensive when you said you were going to paint it red. I got the same model when I think I was 5, brand new and loved it. It is one of my favorites. But I will say I love how that red turned out. After all not every Firebird was aqua turquoise, or whatever they call that color. The wheels look spectacular and overall it really pops. I want to say that the fenders on those old Firebirds and Camaros did flare like that, but maybe not to that extent. I will have to look through my pictures. The overall shape is right but I think the English had a little trouble with it. Ok I just checked. The fenders do stick out that far, but the angle of the flare is too flat, and too long. If you were to revisit one of these in the future, fill in the groove, but leave a little crease inbetween the end of the fender and the top edge of the quarter panel. I have a good picture of an original if you want to see one.
