I was just about to eat something and then I looked at some of the pizzas and now I feel like fasting is the only option to get closer to god......

A few months ago I watched all three of Vinny's awful pizza reviews while recovering from the flu. As I slept that night, I experienced a fever-dream collage of cursed pizzas with non-euclidean shapes and toppings that ranged from absurd (tile grout) to the macabre (fingernails) - with the whole thing narrated over by Vinny's deadpan and displeased commentary.

reminds me of when I had a dream that was a documentary about "soviet pizza" and why it failed. like the name suggested, it was pizza made in the ussr and the sauce looked radioactive like it was neon orange and red n stuff so I can see why it failed.

I had a coworker get a premade "buy and bake it at home" pizza from the local grocery once. When they took it out of the plastic, there was an entire layer of mold between the cheese and sauce.

I actually lived within walking distance of Pizza Oven from Lockport for close to 30 years, and I can drop some insane lore on it. It's genuinely good pizza, but it has no crust at all, so if that's a dealbreaker, I'm sorry. It's cut in rectangles, and I swear the entire time I've lived there they use a sheet of paper to cut their pizza, you have to practically rip the pizza apart in order to get your slice. It has what's called 'sweet sauce' on it, which is just regular pizza sauce but with brown sugar in it. It's actually a lot better than it sounds, trust me. Now for the insane lore: The shop has burnt down more than 3 times in the last 10 years alone, twice due to their ovens, and once because someone threw a lit cigarette away outside and it caught on fire. They're genuinely the best pizza i've had in my life though, 10/10 absolutely recommend.

I got up and made a pizza halfway through this video, and decided to sprinkle a little bit of brown sugar around the sauce before I put the cheese on for shits and giggles. Turns out pizza really does taste good with a bit of brown sugar in it. I'd recommend actually mixing it into the sauce, though, cause if you just sprinkle it on like I did you only get like one bite of it for every slice. Maybe like a tablespoon for an entire jar's worth of sauce, I dunno. Either way, thanks, pizza exposition stranger.

Chicago town pizzas are just really not good. They just taste like oven. Even that cheap frozen Iceland pizza for 90p is tastier (although just barely). I don't think anyone gets Chicago town pizza when it's not on sale.

@@JacobKinsley True, those Iceland Pizzas are nice, but when you're on a 30 minute break and fancy pizza, they're an easy option. They are a bit chewy when cooked in a microwave though, but still delicious in their own right! Plus you get 2 in the box which is nice.

It also needs to be raw or partially cooked bread dough that's heated up in some sort of oven, you can't just toast already cooked bread, it just doesn't work like that

Little Caesers did a pretzel pizza at one point, it had crust like the pizza at 26:14 with an absolute slathering of orange slop like the pizza at 4:00 and it was one of the most disgusting things I've ever eaten. Awful pretzel dough, the cheese ("cheese") was like Cheez Wiz that had been sitting out so long that it started to separate into goo, and the temperature was a mix of barely room temperature and feeling like it had just been refrigerated. Little Caesers is normally serviceable, but we each took one bite of that pizza then threw the entire thing away, it was just that horrendous

The 'crust' was baking soda smeared on the edges, i have no earthly idea what that demon cheese was but it came in bigass tubs and you just.. y-you just slop that shit on there... if youre lucky theylle salt the pretzel. (everyone would forget to) most people just got regular ass pizza sauce instead of The Cheese, which just kinda made a regular ass pizza w extra steps. if you knew you could order a pretzle stuffed crust, and nobody liked making it. nobody being me. the only one who knew how to make it half the time.

You can't get actual haggis in the U.S. anyway, because of the ingredients (sheep lung, stomach, etc.). When we visited our friends in Scotland though, he convinced my brother to try haggis and I tried a bite. With the spices and the way it was minced and cooked and such, it tasted alright to me.

26:59 there’s a “pizza” style that’s cooked in an oven without the toppings, then they get put on after it comes out of the oven to very slightly cook from the warmth of the pizza. I think that’s what that picture is. Wish I could remember where it’s from, I think somewhere in Pennsylvania?

That baclground pizza looks like the one I forgot about in the oven almost a decade and a half ago. It looks disturbingly accurate to that.

American pizzza toppings are just sauce, cheese and pepperoni and grease.

I live by Pizza bread. Normal pizza toppings with sauce, just on slide bread or baguette. Pop in oven and gold 😋
