    Bill Ward and Vinny Appice are two phenomenal drummers with their own instantly recognisable style. Iommi was lucky to work with two legends keeping the beat.

    I'd like to ask those that say it's boring or average, "How many records have you been on, how many thousands of people have you influenced, and how many concerts halls, stadiums, and arenas have you played in"? I'd say the answer is ZERO.

    Vinny stopped using all of his upper level toms because of back and shoulder pain. I think I saw that in MD. I’ve seen pictures online with his basic set up. Great performance with or without those extra drums. 👍👏

    Stupid drum set to appeal to the masses. But Vinnie is a great guy and can play way better than this. This is just one of those...I gotta do a solo "solo" I love his playing but this doesn't reveal what he is capable on this night.

    Me encanta este hombre, sin embargo creo que los solos no son su fuerte. Me parecen sosos. Tocando con el resto de la banda es donde se ve más su gran poderío.

    This solo is dull and primitive. Maybe Vinny became old. With Dio he played more interesting.

    +Pearl vision - COME ON, the man has a lot of talent, exales drummership and is performing a gig you would never dream of playing, right? The solo is full of energy and the crowd loves it (it seems). Maybe you were expecting some new flourishes, whats wrong is the representation some people have of music and NOT his solo. My honest opinion.

  • @pearlvision7156

    @pearlvision7156

    Simply compare this solo with solos many other drummers. I love Vinny as a drummer but this solo seems like show and not the real drummer solo. I think it is because of his age, it becomes difficult to him. It`s my opinion.

    When you can play like him, call me, then we can talk about drum solos... And as drummer myself I know what I'm talking about... Vinny is god!!! 🥁

  • @azimuth361

    @azimuth361

    3 жыл бұрын

    He's old! He's always favored power and brute force over technique. His dull and primitive playing is the foundation on which the many, many drummers he influenced built their careers. You could say the exact same thing about Phil Rudd and Charlie Watts. But if you ask any drummer, Phil Rudd, Charlie Watts and Vinnie Appice are drummers that many younger drummers emulate.
