Vinnie Vincent - REVEALS HIMSELF AND THE TRUTH -The Warrior Rises - Atlanta Kiss Expo

Музыка

This was filmed January 21, 2018. This was the last day for him in Atlanta at the Atlanta Expo Hall. I was on the first row. It is very personal and up close. He talks the truth. The truth about his life and his tragedy.....and his rise from the ashes after all these years Love Him Dearly

    This was incredible. Vinnie tells his story like a person who has gained a great deal of wisdom, and maturity through great struggles. I love how how sincere and candidly he speaks about the era of his life after the lights went away, he realy shys away from nothing. And i respect that he didnt address the subject of gender or sexuality. I think alot of people in that position would put that right out there, as an easy way to gain kudos.

    The first time I saw KISS was 1983 on the lick it up tour in Fresno California I was 13 and Vinny blew me away. He made KISS heavier. My two favorite KISS albums are creatures of the night and lick it up. Vinny is a good man. Prayers up for you Vinny. Love ya brother🎸

    ENOCH WAS RIGHT Vinnie is a douche of a person to work with, and it’s been documented by people other than Gene and Paul. Vinnie is a great writer, and a great guitar player tho he doesn’t know when to stop overdoing it, but one thing he is not is a team player. He certainly did not deserve equal partnership in KISS, especially because Eric Carr would have deserved it before him since he was in the band longer. He has sued KISS numerous times and always lost, so his kind words about Gene and Paul were fake as shit.

    @LipSync Scamley Not sure what you mean when you say he is a clown, he was awesome on guitar the two times I saw him and I play. The KISS show he nailed Ace's sound and from his solo's I could tell he wanted to go much more extreme which he did with VVI, It's obvious he has life issues and was back then. He liked to look like a chick in all his photo op's is what I remember and my friends would all comment about it but live he could rock it very heavy with a ton of talent. It's very sad he prefers wearing dresses but thats a mental issue and not a talent one. Peace..

    People keep making fun of him for his appearance and bashing on the guy for his behavior that occurred in the early 90s. Time to stop all that and forgive the man. This guy didn't do anything so wrong that he should still be punished for. When I watch the most recent video of him, I see a humble, remorseful, and (sadly) depressed person. I hope that whatever demons still haunt him are overcome and he can truly find some personal happiness and success. God Bless you, Vinnie.

    jagreb -- Man, are you shitting us all? You ARE joking, right? You must be under 30. I'm not gonna list all Vinnie's transgressions against KISS, against his own fans, against music, against fashion sense, against transgenders, against guitar players, etc. etc. because we'd be here all night - but I will say this - even though he was the best damn guitarist KISS ever had that suited them PERFECTLY, he is now PAYING for all his sins of the past, in looking like a fat Addams Family member, in having no expertise on his instrument left, in having no career, in having no contract, no job, no band, no future. HE BROUGHT IT ALL ON HIMSELF. FUCK Vinnie Vincent, the thief, liar, con artist, delusional slob. And before you know even half the story, stay out of the way with your blinkered, provincial views of forgiveness and amity.

    Conan 1812 I’m not saying that anything that he is saying has truth to it or not. Where I’m going with it is just the snide comments on his possible state of living now as far as being transgender or what not. That’s what I’m asking people to please refrain from commenting on. Unless you’re in that situation, you truly don’t know. As far as the substance of what he is saying that’s a different story. I’m very well aware that there of been many versions to this from many different people including members of kiss including one that is now deceased. I’m not saying what he saying is true or false

    What some people don't realize and some maybe do is that eccentric musicians are usually geniuses. Or should I say musicians who are a little "nutty" or weird in some way, have huge sparks of genius. Who cares if he is gay or transgender or whatever. Rob Halford & Freddie Mercury are 2 of the greatest rock/metal vocalists of all time. Gene said in an interview once that Vinnie had a lot of inner demons that would come out and harm him. I believe Gene was politely alluding to Vinnie being gay and back then, "coming out" was out of the question in rock/metal. You can't deny that Lick it Up is one of KISS's best albums. You may argue that it isn't their best selling or best as far as body of work, BUT in my opinion it is their HARDEST album to date.Young & Wasted? Fits Like a Glove? Come on man, those are some heavy KISS songs. Vinnie is an incredible songwriter with a great "ear" for hooks, as was Michael Jackson. I have been listening to rock & metal since I was old enough to work my parents turntable (74'), but I like some of Jackson's songs too. He was KooKy, but had something most cookie-cutter musicians don't. Bowie, Townsend, Jackson, Mercury, Vincent, Halford, Mozart ~ The list goes on and on.

    I knew Vinnie in LA. We wrote a few songs together. When I met Vinnie he was Vinnie Cusano. He was married with two kids and wife, a nice apartment and he was a great guy extremely talented. We were both in LA trying to reach for the golden ring. The last time I saw him was at the Whiskey when he was doing a gig with Carmine Appice. Looking back after all these years it's really sad how the record business chews people up and spits them out. That's why I fuckin left LA and headed back east. G-d bless ya Vinnie.

    Mick Nordström Amen on what you said. It has blown me away since I’ve posted this the absolute disrespect that people have given. I’m to the point where I have to just skim through and I don’t read them all if it seems like it’s going south with words. My biggest concern is him going back and watching all that’s been posted and him reading all the negative and nasty comments. There are many reasons why he went into hiding and I truly believe thatHe felt like he couldn’t be a rocker with his true identity. The comments that have bled from these videos is not going to help things at all. I love him dearly and I’m glad that he has rose from the ashes and I hope that he has the courage as he gets used to being in the limelight again that he talks about his identity

    Actually, Vinnie, you DO need to apologize every time you mention that worthless god of yours. Wasn't it great how he kept you in KISS and made your career a long term success with them? Wasn't it great how, even when you left KISS, your god kept you at the top of the charts with album after album for the last 20 years that saw you financially and artistically fulfilled? That was great how your god did that for you, yeh? So, yeh, I think your god owes YOU an apology.

  • @jondunmore4268

    @jondunmore4268

    Also, Vinnie, I guess you can ask for another apology from your god, that he allowed you to let yourself go like that. It was great how your god kept you on a diet and kept you looking good over 20 years. Man, you look like you did on the LICK IT UP album cover. Like a girl. Love Vinnie's playing - he was definitely the second savior of KISS (the first was Eric Carr), and probably the best-suited guitarist for the band (even above Ace). But his hippie talk makes me believe that he remains the knucklehead that got himself sacked from the best employment opportunity he ever had in his life.

    Wow...so much for Vinnie taking the high road. Verbally eviscerating Slaughter as completely untalented was really unfair. I’m not a super fan of either, but I suspect the truth lies somewhere in the middle. Vinnie seems to confirm a lot of what people have said about him....incredibly paranoid that someone is always trying to rip him off. Seems hypocritical given him selling counterfeit guitars and undelivered box sets to fans. I never heard him say “I’m sorry” for some of the things he did in the past. It’s too bad that the anger and pain caused him to go underground for so long because he was immensely talented. I wonder how much good music the world missed because of bad feelings.
