Harmonizing is used for two different elements that go together, and not purely based on being pleasant as a harmony can be dissonant. Doubling isn't considered two different elements. The group ended up finding a shiny magic helmet described as "looking like a Daft Punk helmet", and somebody joked that technically my wizard could wear the helm and the crown at the same time. So it's basically just an in-joke.

Yeah it's a bit painful to hear that, the Jaguar port is quite excellent and from what I recall Carmack himself was at the lead for that one, which was the base of all forthcoming DOOM ports for years.

For those who DO want the context for the video at the end: It's an intro for a Finnish political satire show from early 90s called "Hyvät Herrat" (Gentlemen). And the MTV logo in top right is actually MTV3, a Finnish commercial TV channel. As for why Vinny has this, I do not know, but I suspect my friend might have sent it to him since he was talking about it a bunch last year.

Too clarify the story: Colecovision Donkey Kong wasn't deliberately made bad, it was the opposite. Coleco had won the license to publish home versions of Donkey Kong before Nintendo had their own console, and Coleco used that position to deliberately make Donkey Kong appear and play awful on _all other_ platforms except their own.

Vinny asks why we even like the commercial streams, I feel it's the earnest reaction to a lot of these older commercials that either are memorable to him or more memorable for us. It also leads to people sending him oddities like the Jaguar infomercial and the Power Glove instructional tape. That's how I feel just fun nostalgic vibes is all I ask, I ask for that more than the YTP+ generated content. I got a bunch more commercials I've been meaning to send to Vinny but wanted to optimize them so it would be easier for him to deal with volume and quality differences. There's some repeats from other commercial streams I gotta take off my pile though, but I got some "no brainer" commercials that haven't been submitted yet though.

Same, I don't really enjoy the YTP+ content but I love watching old commercials with Vinny and hearing his reaction. I feel a mixture of curiosity + nostalgia and a lot of them are genuinely funny and get a chuckle out of me. I know is an odd segment in the sense this is a videogame stream and maybe that's why Vin is so confused as to why this is requested. To that I say, even if I could simply watch old commercials by myself, I have more fun watching with Vinny :D
