Vince Russo Shoots On Triple H Comments About Joanie "Chyna" Laurer/Hall of Fame

Ойын-сауық

Vince Russo gives his introductory thoughts about Triple H's comments on the possibility of Joanie Laurer (aka Chyna) ever going into the WWE Hall of Fame. Tomorrow, PyroandBallyhoo.com will release Joanie Laurer's response to Triple H's comments on Steve Austin's podcast, but the video is truly just the beginning. Joanie speaks out like never before, and the next few days will likely open up Pandora's Box when it comes to Triple H and WWE.

    I was relatively young when Chyna was super famous in the WWE. She recently sparked my interest and I feel so much pain and empathy for this woman. You can tell she was a kind and sensitive soul.

    Ooh, that is a great observation... Triple H can Never Ever get Fired, since he is still married to the Boss's Daughter.... "Never say Never." = when(ever) the WWE wants to invite you back into their company, especially if they want to induct you into their Hall of Fame (HoF).

    Vince Russo, I have to say thank you very much for being the person to finally take a stand for Chyna! I grew up watching her and absolutely adored and loved her. I remember the only way that I knew she had left the company was reading about it online. I remember also that they practically erased her from history as well because they never mentioned her name on air again! This was very cold and rude if you ask me and that was without even knowing what was going on behind the scenes. She was women's champion at the time and they just completely ignored it and didn't bother to ever mention her again. The way Triple H answered the question the other night rubbed me the wrong way as well. It was decent of him to say that there was no bad blood towards Chyna from his side, but to then take it to a new level of low and reference Chyna's porn career was really low. I've always found it really odd how the entire pro wrestling world seemed to really make a big deal about how despicable it was that Chyna was pursuing a porn career - yet this is the same industry that has profited off of there divas (including Chyna) being Playboy centerfolds as well as bra & pantie matches and pudding matches which borderlined on being porn. I am not saying I supported Chyna's porn career, I just found it a bit odd that an industry that sold so much sex symbolism as part of there brand would make that a disqualifier for Chyna ever being in the Hall Of Fame. As you said in the video, Triple H just needs to be honest and say it's because Stephanie doesn't want her there. We all know that is the real reason! WWE has done a lot of people wrong but I don't they ever did anyone quite as dirty as they did Chyna. Bret Hart and the Montreal Screw Job was pretty bad but as we all know they mended the fences on that. The fact that Chyna's situation involved the bosses daughter (and really she is pretty much in charge now), is even worse because she will more than likely see fit that Chyna never gets put in the Hall Of Fame. I hope I am wrong. I am very much looking forward to your interview with Chyna tomorrow. I have a feeling this is going to set the record straight!

    Amen. Granted Sunny only started selling herself on Skype within the last year or so, not before she was inducted into the WWE HOF. But still if we were to use the same logic that HHH did during the Austin interview in regard to why Chyna isn't in the WWE HOF, then the WWE should REVOKE Sunny's induction into the WWE HOF. I mean, couldn't HHH's same 8 year old daughter also "Google" Sunny as well and see what Sunny's up to nowadays? What if that same 8 year old of HHH's "Googled" Jimmy Snuka or Carols Colon and see what they were a part of? Or even Mike Tyson?

    Short version: - Chyna lost her boyfriend and job. - WWE treated her horribly since the day she left. - The least WWE could have done was allow her to keep the name to make a living, but they stripped her of it and left her with nothing and financially broke leading to her accepting porn deals just to survive. - The above circumstances combined with the abusive relationship with X-Pac that led to alcohol, drugs, depression, and her suicide attempt. - Russo saved Helmsley from getting fired for the Curtain Call incident and feels betrayed by him with his holier-than-thou attitude. - hates WWE treating former employees like crap after they leave the company. - strongly disagrees with WWE treating the Hall Of Fame with a background check. - feels Chyna's words were taken out of context that gave her a bad reputation. - all Triple H had to do was say "Never say never." to prevent all this. He also stuck up for the Ultimate Warrior during WWE's crusade against him!

    There's a HUGE difference between the porn Lana did and the porn Chyna did. Lana wasn't taking it in the ass or being gang banged. Also, Lana didn't shoot a porn having sex with a Triple H, Ric Falir and Vince McMahon look-a-like/parody.

    Joshua Adriel that's all true if you evaluate the situation in a gray aspect, but if you apply black and white standard, then porn is still porn, no pre-pubescent kid's mom says "this porn is acceptable because it excludes anal and mcmahon parodies. I admit you got a good point though, although it's fair to point out that googling Chyna does not take you to porn

    To me its evil to destroy someone's career because you have the power to do so. Especially to a amazing athlete, a wonderful female that had the guts to survive through hell to get by. She is a bigger person than HHH in every way. I respect Mr Russo for defending Chyna and saying all the right and true stuff of what happened. Chyna is still the best female wrestler that has stepped foot in the wwe ring. To say she is not respectable enough to be in the Hall of Fame to me is the most idiotic reason known to mankind. Mr.Omega Well, either she should have been told about "on the road/showbiz" lifestyle before she got into wrestling or picked up on it along the way through watching or told first hand from the other divas. Expecting her and H3 to have worked out does indicate she may have been too naive or in denial. Nothing wrong with that, some folks only learn the hard way.

    As Vince said if you look through the hall of fame inductees there are people in there who never in a million years should be included if we're following the same standards. for instance Abdullah the Butcher knowingly infected other wrestlers with hepatitis and Mike Tyson has numerous criminal convictions. BUT NO NO NO Joanie Laurer gets destroyed by the WWE and then they blame her for bad life choices. The problem is that the WWE have a monopoly of the industry and so they can change their standards whenever they wish.

    I am genuinely proud of you Vince. I know that it will sound silly but everyone deserves a chance to be heard. I never realised how badly WWE treated Chyna until I began following her youtube page. I cannot understand, nor will I ever understand how anyone could behave in that manner towards somebody else and I don't know the fully story yet. So, I can only imagine how bad this will be. I know that there will be people who will say... Oh she's bitter.. oh, is she still talking about this? get over it.. bla bla bla. BUT, Chyna deserves to be heard. She deserves it and I am so glad that you are giving her this opportunity Vince. Good for you and good for Chyna. I wish you both well.

    Okay reality check: WWE doesn't owe any of its performers a god damn thing, and maybe, just maybe if Chyna didn't go on for years whining and becoming the biggest public embarrassment among wrestling personality not named Chris Benoit, then maybe things would be different.

    The WWE was brutal to Chyna. It’s the one thing that the WWE has done that is unforgivable. To add insult to injury, the finally DID put her in the Hall of Fame but they waited for her to die first. I hate the WWE!!

  • @cbow776
    @cbow7769 жыл бұрын

    Vince, with all due respect Chyna has been on youtube. Her highest watched video is her venting about Stephanie McMahon & the WWE. Also a month ago she put up videos on youtube wishing death to Hunter, Vince, Stephanie & Xpac. She also put up a video talking about her sex life with Hunter. She took the death threat and sex comment videos down. Chyna was the one who approached Vivid founder Steve Hirsch. Lets not forget she made a porn parady having a three way with Vince McMahon & Stephanie characters. Also her scene included wwe wrestlers. Is that the right thing for WWE or any company?? Mr Russo you seem like a decent man but I think you have been given wrong information. I appreciate you wish to support Chyna but she really seems incapable of delivering a truthful story. I am sad for her losing Hunter but she was not fired within 24 hours after finding out about Hunter and Stephanie. She was put in a WM event AFTER her breakup with Hunter and continued working with the company until she didn't get the contract she wanted out of Jim Ross. I hope you realize that you seem to have been mislead. Maybe consider researching this more as I hope you understand this can really reflect on you.

    of course they put her on for a few matches, they didn't want a huge mutiny from the locker room, and they still humiliated her just like they humiliated vicki g. MOST IMPORTANT, the WWE is instigating the Chyna convo, not Chyna herself

  • @cbow776

    @cbow776

    MITCHELL ALVAREZ What mutiny? Do you really think the locker room would have walked out for Chyna? Also they are not instigating this at all. It was a response to a question by Austin, who is a free agent. Her character on tv was never treated like Vicki that is a massive leap. Chyna herself has appeared on shows like Howard Stern and done DOZENS of shoot interviews. She hosted shows, appeared on tv AFTER the wwe time ended. Also she worked for New Japan and I recall she had options of going to TNA in its early days but SHE messed those up. As an adult you actually have to take responsibility for your own actions. As I said before Vince Russo seems a decent man but more I think of this it does seem that he is taking this too personally. Perhaps because he feels he should be created for all of the attitude era? Or because WWE never really wanted him back as an employee. You could actually ague and say Chyna has bullied the WWE and many wrestlers who have nothing to do with this situation. Her Queen of the Ring "film" has characters based on Vince McMahon, Stephanie, Triple H, Cena, Rock, Stone Cold, Bret Hart, etc. Hell she even included a character based on Mean Gene. Every opportunity over the years she has done interviews slandering the WWE, so let the she is a victim comments stop.

    c bow i think there would have been serious resentment from the locker room and possible legal action from chyna, and yes HHH instigated this by making the comments, Chyna is off in Japan minding her business, no longer making videos about hhh, steph, or mcmahon. However, daddy McMahon is still making videos on a monday night war that ended over a decade ago, i think WWEak has got more to focus on than Chyna, they should focus on their s**** booking which is driving them into the toilet.....

    MITCHELL ALVAREZ she made a video about Stephanie last year and about a month ago put up and then deleted some pretty nasty videos about Vince, Steph and Hunter. Guess you missed seeing those ones. Honestly doubt that those running wwe could care less about Chyna. Again Austin asked the question about her. As for the locker room according to her previous interviews they all know about what was happening between Stephanie and Hunter. I hardly think she had any legal action options then either.

    c bow i don't give a crap if she made a video about hhh and steph yesterday, recovering addicts go through rough patches and venting on her past is still something she's working on. The fact that Austin brought it up is irrelevant, there's way more pertinent topics for the son-In-Law of the owner of the WWE to discuss than Chyna, if Chyna is so important why not bring up Scott Steiner's comments over the years, or ADR's, or Ahmed Johnson's, or the fact that this McMahon Filter seems to be broken. If they can magically focus on Joanie, then there are many other individuals who comment on WWE or HHH personally that could have been addressed. i'm glad Vince is giving her a forum to speak, and he's due for some vengeance as well, because they still knock him on those bull**** documentaries on WWEak Network

She made them a ton of money and fans loved her. Scott Hall and Shawn Michaels were well known as super drug users and Jimmy Superfly Snuka well we know about his girlfriend. So Chyna made adult videos big deal! She deserves to be in the Hall of Fame! Vincent please don't give up on pushing and bringing it to light that Chyna needs to be where she belongs. Damn! These videos were of her wishing death upon "certain" people and was also clearly intoxicated in others. Glad she is doing better but it seems you can change the cover of the book but the story still the same. WWE let her go 14 years ago, time for her to own up to her own choices and stop the blame game.
