A bit odd considering Jinder Mahal became the number 1 contender and won the title pretty soon after he had just concussed Finn Balor during a match.

Yes, but when it comes to moves like Nakamura's throw, it requires both guys to properly execute, whereas Jinder just straight up elbowed Balor to the face. Not to mention that Cena clearly suffered no injury from the move, while Balor did.

It was a mistake on both parts. Obviously Cena didn't flip enough, however, from the looks of it Cena did not know exactly what Nakamura was doing. I'm not putting the blame on either men. This was obviously just a miscommunication and it was on both of them. Good thing about it is that Cena did not get hurt because a botch like that is pretty serious.

Hey man, anytime someone you are facing injuresdue to a move done by you you always feel responsible for it, even when it's not your fault. Remember Benoit vs Sabu???
Nakamura botches a move with Cena = Vince angry and potentially will kill Nakamura's push Jinder botches a move on Finn Balor = Vince gives no shits, and gives him the WWE Championship
We all know this is bullshit, first jo one backstage was mad. Than it came out Triple H and Vince said its all good. And now this? Fuck this.
Yeah lets just ignore all of Reign's botches. All the wrestlers Rollins injured. The fact the move is practically a dragon suplex & he was suppose to land like that. Or if not, the fact that Cena was supposed to flip on to his stomach effectively making it his fault not Nakamura. Take your pick.

Titties Galore You missed the point. Nice name by the way. We're stating these facts to show Vince has double standards. For example, Jinder concussed Finn Balor before he went to win the title, and a lot of botches have happened before even on Cena that ended up worse and Vince is yelling about this in particular.
When Kofi Kingston botches, Randy Orton screams at him, calling Kingston stupid in front of the entire crowd. When Nakamura botches, Cena shakes his hand and tells him, "Don't be sorry." Interesting comparison.
Jinder concussed Balor - wins WWE Championship Nakamura and Cena botches an exploder suplex - TRIGGERED
You'd think that because the guy who took the botch told Nakamura to "not be sorry" I think its safe to say that Vince being angry is ridiculous.
Jinder gives Balor a concussion - gets the WWE championship Nakamura or Cena botched the move - furious with Nakamura
And when cena botches he creams himself
It's Cena's fault because he didn't do the full rotation for Shinsuke's suplex that he was supposed to fully flip for but Nakamura didn't seem to give Cena completely enough time for the rotation so honestly, this was just bad communication by both men. Let's just be happy Nakamura is getting a title shot and Cena isn't paralyzed.
also, jinder gave finn a fucking concussion wih a simple forearm and Vince handed him the wwe championship
why? it was Cena's fault, Nakamura has done that move countless times, not his fault Cena didn't commit to the move correctly
IT WAS AN ACCIDENT
@eibun2011

champthy How do you know for sure he wouldn't get mad? Cena is one of the company's biggest draws and the move could have ended his career
From what it looks like, Nakamura went for his reverse exploader suplex and Cena probably thought he was going for a belly to back suplex, it looked like Cena just didn't get the rotation needed for the reverse exploader.
Vince: "How dare you, that's my golden boy, you nearly killed him!" Roman: "What about me Vincie? I thought I was your golden boy?" Vince: "You too, Ro Ro."
Lol how can he be furious if it wasnt even Shins fault?
@ihateeverything1014

yes it was
Lets talk about Roman... Vince
Can we push Kofi again too? I hated how they stopped that push. Was a very entertaining character and still is in the ring.
I feel like Kevin Dunn should be blamed for it or whoever chose what to show during the replays because the botch was replayed so many times that it called much more attention than was needed...
This ruins the fast count
@TristunYTAccount
6 жыл бұрын
Noah right?? I don't bother with fast count anymore
so when brock folds someone up he's a beast but when Nakamura does it he's unsafe worker
As long as Cena backs him up... I mean he popped right back up and Cena even said dont worry.... So Vince will back down.... In all honesty I think Vince likes to over react and likes to look for a reason to depush anyone who isnt his guy
That's crazy because it was cena's botch... Nakamura does the exploder suplex the whole time without issue and cena didn't rotate enough.
@UpYaGet
6 жыл бұрын
Should say inverted exploder suplex
Are any of the reasons because Nakamura is not a big sweaty man?

No doubt that's going to happen. It's a miracle that the Style's Clash has survived Vince's wrath. But that's obviously because AJ Styles is just the best all-around wrestler in WWE at the moment.
Vince saving his golden Boy. FUCK THE VINCE. -the Hound.
I don't really blame Nakamura for what happened 'cause people fall into the botch bowl quite often, I'm just glad that Cena's okay 'cause it did scare me seeing how he fell.
Nakamura will hinder the JINDER!
Vince is idiot! Of course these things will happen. I know pro wrestling is entertainment but I mean comon..its pro wrestling!! I don't know...I've been watching NJPW lately and I am starting to think it is actually way much better than WWE. It's sad that Nakamura, AJ, Owens, Balor and Zayn came to WWE. Their gimmicks and image were sooo much better in ROH and NJPW! WWE is destroying these guys images with their ridiculous, boring storylines!!!
@JhakensonCetoute
6 жыл бұрын
AJ Badwan Actually Owens and Styles image haven't been messed up... not yet of course but sami and balor they are officially buried
@AJBadwan
6 жыл бұрын
dave beam Styles and Owens are doing good but in the long-term if WWE keeps writing boring storylines, it will probably affect their character gimmick and image even if they work hard. In terms of Sami and Balor, I feel really bad for these guys. They really deserve better. I wish Sami, Balor and CM Punk go to NJPW. Imagine Punk joins the Bullet Club. This story alone will beat the WWE in the business.
I read that VKM was not focused on Shinsuke, but rather on the fact that Cena, whom he considers still the top guy, could have been injured. IMO- Cena was pure class after the match, but he should have been fully aware of the reverse exploder.
Its pretty obvious that Cena messed up. Nakamura was going for his inverted Exploder suplex that he has done many times to a lot of wrestlers, Cena maybe because they were calling spots on the fly (Cena does tend to do this with his opponents) thought he was going for a regular back suplex and Shinsuke didnt get enough momentum to push Cena over, so Cena landed on his head. So stupid how Vince #1 would blame Nakamura for this & #2 for being furious with Shinsuke but not furious at Jinder, Seth or others who have injured other superstars. Double Standard *clap clap clap clap clap!*
Vince McMahon been out of touch since march 23 2001
yes yes yes Finally nakamura will be buried
Nakamura's suplex move end in a face bump. For whatever, Cena probably thought he could pop from his shoulder like a standard back suplex and tucked his chin. This is on the same vine as AJ's styles clash. Face bump = tilted head towards the back. Back bump = tucked chin.
Rollins injured a couple of guys, and he got to be champion for months and months. Not saying Rollins didn't deserve to be champion, he did a great job in the role he was given. But Nakamura losing his push over it would just be dumb.
Didn't seth Rollins end how many careers and I didn't hear Vince get furious over that but one botch that was cenas fault and shinsuke gets the blame that's completely bs
@MinimiMax
6 жыл бұрын
One. The answer to your question is one.
King of Botch Style
I also believe it was Cena's fault, not Shinsuke's. Cena didn't rotate his body enough for the move. He probably thought Shinsuke was doing just a regular belly-to-back suplex and not his signature one so he just fell back like that instead of flipping back and over. If this had happened to ANYBODY but Cena, it would've been ignored I'm sure. Though Cena was fine, and he and Shinsuke both made amends. Vince is more upset than either of them, so... Maybe Vince is the one to blame here.
Forget Nakamura, I still wanna see a Kofi Kingston title push
But that botch made it more legitimate for Super Cena not kicking out easily against a Kinshasa.
This is purely Cena's fault. Nakamura always does this move and either it was misunderstanding on Cena's part, or Cena didn't fully commit to the backflip. Cena should've better prepared himself to fight Nakamura and studied his moves; he would've known what move he was doing then.
No surprise, poor good boy Shinsuke is not big sweaty man.
meanwhile vince already botched the whole fucking championship by giving jinder the fucking tittle
Exploder Suplex Jack come on. He's supposed to flip over
I first read it as 'Vince McMahon FIRES Nakamura over botch' I got very very scared...
what happened was absolutely terrible, but it's not like Nakamura hadn't done that move like a thousand times (successfully) before that botch. if Cena actually watch the product, or at least paid attention a bit, the thing probably wouldn't happen.
Anyway, there is a new trend on the WWE direction of TV shows. They are replaying a lot the botched moves, with the commentators saying "Woah, what a move!" and such. It is really an odd behaviour... Ok, they are a demonstration that "wrestling is real" because a botched move is painful, but even they mark "bad wrestling" as "good wrestling". It is something I don't understand..
I think Vince needs to simmer down. Mistakes happen and all parties involved (cena and Nakamura caused the botch) should just be more careful in the future. I would hate for this to derail Nakamura's momentum.
Cena is just awkward when taking suplexes and similar moves, much better at giving them than taking them
It wasn't a back suplex, Jack, it was his exploder. Cena took the move incorrectly.
Nak gonna be doing that J O B at Summerslam lololol
Now watch Nakamura not win the WWE title at Summerslam because of this. : /
I still say that Kofi dodging the punt kick, and catching an RKO was a better finish than the one they'd had planned.
When I saw Nakamura hit that back suplex, it reminded me of when Cena versed Batista at SummerSlam 2008 when Cena went for a Diving Leg Drop and Batista turned it into a Powerbomb. This ended in John breaking his neck at SS08
Nakamura has botched that move only versus Cena in his wwe run and is shinsuke's fault ?
That wasn't Shinsuke's fault. That was all John Cena. He didn't get the rotation he should have. The old man needs to take a step back.
AND I'm furious at Vince McMahon for refusing to present a pro wrestling product.
HHH really needs to take control of the WWE... then we can enjoy it again
'A lot of people want to see him as wwe champion' You mean that 'smarks want to see him as wwe champion'. Anyone who watches wwe to be entertained rather than cheerlead their favourite indie guy will not be happy with a non English speaking 'good guy' character on an English speaking TV show broadcast to an English speaking country , oh and English is the worlds second language - being the main character of a TV show. Its been 2 years and I still don't know what this guys personality, wants, desires, motivation or character is, why? Because he is a non English speaking character on an English speaking TV show. Not that little things like that matter to smarks.
oh great. Now Shinsuke is going to get the "Titus Treatment". (even though Titus is doing pretty well right now
Nakamura also dislocated Samoa Joe's jaw when they first fought in next don't forget that
Shinsuke didn't really injured Cena though + Shinsuke did say "I'm sorry" to Cena & even John accepted his apology as well
I love how Cena almost broke his neck but he just says ''No It's all good''
Give it time, Shinsuke will go back to NJPW due to McMahon.
Nakamura wasn't giving him a 'back suplex', he was giving him that reverse exploder thing he does. Cena under-rotated, not over.
If this is true let's get Vince McMahon in the ring again to remind him it's not easy
The report said Vince was more worried about Cena but that he has no issues with Nakamura and still thought highly of him, so long as he avoided such incidents in the future
One thing you forgot, Cena forgave Nakamura, Randy Orton did not forgive Kingston.
It was for his trademark exploder suplex. John didn't rotate enough. He was supposed to land on his stomach/face.
It was nobody's fault, if it was someone's fault it was cena's
@ihateeverything1014

I HATE EVERY THING shinsuke has done this move to Kevin as well, and he's bigger than cena, so it's not a strength issue for naka, it's not his fault that cena can't flip and doesn't know how to sell! Mostly it was cena cuz naka has done this move to bigger opponents.
Nice video guys!
Was Vince furious with Owen Hart after the Stone Cold match? D-Lo after the Droz match? Samoa Joe after the Kidd match? Rollins after the Sting match...or after the Finn Balor match? This was a scary looking bump in which no one got hurt, much less had a career ended or shortened. This is a lot of hot air in my opinion.
"Shinsuke went to deliver a back suplex"....I'm sure he was trying the exploder suplex! Maybe Cena thought he was going for a back suplex, so Cena didn't rotate enough.
Was supposed to be an inverted exploder suplex. Cena thought he was supposed to land on his shoulder, and under rotating instead of landing on his stomach like he was supposed too. At least that's what it looks like to me.
Quick not for you Jack. It wasn't a back suplex Shinsuke was going for, it was his signature 'Reverse Exploder'! Shinsuke didn't quite throw Cena enough and as usual John Cena doesn't know how to take a move properly or do a moonsault so he tucked his chin instead of flipping over. So it was mostly John's fault just for the record
This is very surprising considering Titus O'Neil was suspended for telling Vince to let Stephanie McMahon go through first and that other guy for smiling
Ok I'm sick of seeing all these articles and videos about this. Has anyone actually watched a Shinsuke Nakamura match? Main roster? NXT? Japan? WWE 2k17? HE WAS NOT GOING FOR A BACK SUPLEX! It's an inverted powerslam and the opponent is supposed to land on their stomach. They didn't get enough elevation and rotation or Cena was taking the move like a back suplex thus causing him to land on his head. Like Bubba Ray Dudley said in an interview, accidents happen and blame shouldn't be tossed around, but if someone is to blame it looks like it was Cena for taking the move wrong.
It wasn't Shinsuke Nakamura's Fault and it wasn't John Cena's Fault. It was a freak accident
The fact that Roman gave a concussion to his own son .... But he wasn't angry on him ... But the best wrestler of independent circuit botches a move on his precious Cena makes him mad ... Sick
It wasn't a back suplex, it was an exploder which Shinsuke has done many times that flip his opponent over fully. The rotation just wasn't what it should have been.
That wasn't a back suplex.That's called exploder or william regal's signature move from wwe'12
@GNVS300
6 жыл бұрын
The Regal Plex?
Nakamura's used to the Japanese style of wrestling, they get suplexed like this all the time
Anyone else rooting for the Maharaja at SummerSlam?....let the hate come
That was supposed to be Inverted Powerslam, Cena had to do a back flip and land on his stomach, but he fucked up and landed on his head.
If I remember Cena does puts himself forward like when Miz does his "yes" kicks (I forgot what he calls it). You can see Cena legit lean forward into the kicks. So he possibly did over rotated.
Well the thing with the Kofi/Orton thing, Orton got pissed visually and he has power backstage where if he's upset he can do things like eliminate a push. Of course Cena also has that power if not more, but he was not upset with Shinsuke in the slightest. So it would be hard to believe that the outcome of his Summer Slam match would be changed because of that.
I don't get why people are saying fuck Cena. If they actually paid attention to this video instead of bitching in the comments, or just went back and watched what happened after the match, they'd see that Shinsuke apologized just for Cena to tell him to NOT be sorry. Cena took it on the nose and still put over the guy, didn't sell him out back stage, and Nakamura looks to be on his way to be WWE Champion at Summerslam
