Listening to this story, you almost forget how they used to be on commentary so regularly during the 90's. (Well, I forgot lol.) They were INDEED GOLD! You don't even think much about their boss/employee dynamic when you hear them, and this story totally made me forget about their commentary days. But I loved them!

The more I hear stories about vince mcmahon, the more I think he's a hoot.

I am glad that they are getting along after years of bickering.

Well I'm sure Vince isn't exactly sitting in a barco-lounger with a beer and a bag of chips like the rest of us but they got all sorts of monitors in the back watching what's going on and making sure there's no snafus, and he keeps an eye on those most of the night

I grew up on Memphis Wrestling Jerry Lawler as a bad guy was awesome with Sam Bass.

You’re literally such a stupid pathetic moron with a low intellect that you would hear a story like this. A story about someone who is so invovlved. You might not like his vision but you can’t say the guy isn’t giving you the best and most he can. It’s ok to not like his taste or vision but it isn’t that he isn’t giving you what he thinks is best. Dummy

This is terrible micromanagement. How is this even worthy of being a story?

It probably pissed Vince off that he actually had to make a phone call himself lol. I can just hear it.... "Dammit, I have to use a phone myself. Coach....dammit, someone get in here. I don't know what button to push to talk to King". Lol.

So vince will watch a boring 2hr preshow but refuses to watch anything to do with NXT ?? Good one vince........

That's actually a good thing, If he watched NXT, he's probably be trying to make Triple H change everything and make it suck like the main roster shows. But, everything main roster goes through Vince, including the pre shows. He probably watches everything that he has final say on, unless of course he is part of the show. But then he probably rewatches it later.

I’d pay to get vince on conrads podcast or better yet kayfabe commentaries!! To actually ask the main man the questions we never get the real answers too, I’ve heard tons about Vince and he sounds like a crazy fun guy, I wish I’d followed my dream and tried to make it as a wrestler but growing up in the UK it always seemed way to far fetched an idea, like being a space man!
