Not really, from what's been said he does it regularly to talent if he yells at them which is why he has the reputation as more a fatherly figure than a boss. It's the fans that believe the "Mr McMahon" character is real. Basically the version of Vince you see on "Young Rock" (ultra supportive, sees the roster as his family) is the side of him that fans don't see and what he doesn't want them to see.

This apology seemed very sincere and gave a good explanation of how that happened. Now hes back and we can also believe he meant it when he said he’d hope Punk would return. I hope Punk and the WWE can keep it up because I think both sides would like to see Punk retire there.

CM Punk did a Sasha Banks of course because of the injury but if you have a job you do it if asked. If he was released then so be it. Shouldn't be complaining, even if it was unsafe he was an independent contractor, not an employee, he chose to be in the WWE, I have no sympathy for someone making multimillions each year to wrestle around the world and can't do the job unless they are literally suffering broken bones.
