This is true friendship. My dad had a friend like that who stepped in after his death. They are both gone now but I will be eternally grateful for their influence in my life.

I lost my father when I was 14. His name was Paul too. His best friend, Kevin is my Godfather and is such a Dad to me. For example, I live in Florida, he lives in California where I was born, so he sees stuff on the news. And everytime a hurricane is coming our way he calls and asks if we're ready, yada yada. I've lived in Florida for more than 20 years. I am always always ready for a hurricane. I have a generator I check it twice a year to make sure that it's still works properly. I always make sure I have gas for the generator. I have lots of water always on hand, plenty of canned goods, and an outdoor kitchen on my pool deck. I'm ready to go. But my godfather just has that Dad instinct and calls and makes me go over the checklist. I'm in my 40s I know how to handle it a hurricane. But he's just being the Dad that he promised my Dad he would be. And I absolutely love it. I don't feel abandoned I actually feel loved.

every time i see fast franchise i always feel a bond that very few people understand. His daughter, Meadow Walker, was 15 in 2013, only 8 years younger than her dad’s girlfriend. Paul’s girlfriend is 31 as of 2021. I wonder if Meadow invited her to her wedding?

Vin's assumed the uncle role, but nobody could replace Paul in his daughter's life, nor would he want to. I also believe that Paul would be smiling down and proud to see his daughter so happy. If only he could have been alive to see it!

Just the other day I was listening to an interview with Vin Diesel. He was talking about his friendship with Paul and their camaraderie. Amazing what little seeds grow into. Vin has been there for Paul's daughter the entire time. The mark of a quality friendship and of a quality man.
This is so beautiful. My son was borned that year Paul Walker passed, and he loves the fast and furious. He cries every time we listen to , See you again. :(
