Сейчас июль 2022, и я случайно наткнулась на это интервью…. Боже, насколько это не по годам мудрый и интересный человек, я слышала его ранние интервью и тогда уже заметила, как он мудро рассуждает. Это невозможно «начитать» -у него «старая» душа и он пришел в этот мир не просто так …. Слушая его песни , действительно проживаешь легче сложные времена, как он говорит «вместе с ним». Мне 38 лет , 3-е детей и песни HIM в моем playlist уже 19 лет , с тех самых сложных времен 🙌🏼

Он как Орфей из Нижнего Мира, чтоб напомнить, что жизнь тут не вечна и в тоже время она продолжается после смерти, если в душе есть любовь (не только к человеку). Но тоже по своему несёт крест, искушения. Заколдованный.

Не столько старая сколько развитая, продвинутая, это сразу во взгляде видно, не смотря на хулиганство)) мудрость, она у таких людей с рождения во взгляде присутствует. Человек творит, создает, а не разрушает.

Ну красивой картинкой он никогда и не был. Особенно для тех, кто любит его за талант, творчество..... Потрясающий музыкант, вокалист, ну и явно как человек, потому как группа существовала от звонка до звонка...... А картинка.... таких картинок тьма...... Он по первости не фейсом, голосом цеплял, просто заставил прислушаться к творчеству, не видя его. Вот это талант))

The best Ville's interview (for me). Being sober suits him really well, you know... :)

I am so impressed and fascinated by Ville's personality... I've always felt through his lyrics that he is a deep and intellectual person, and together with all those melodies I simply plunge into some unique atmosphere of their music and songs, and whether I'm 11 or 23 it's still the same complex feeling being born inside, a kind of a phenomenal spiritual world away from mundane things. It is just wonderful how much he can say concerning various matters, and his flow of ideas touches upon what I've been pondering over for many years now. It is great to know he questions the issues of morality, spiritual love, art and loneliness of a sole individual in the universe as well as other complicated matters. I could listen to him speak eternally... I think Ville has a philosophical nature and it is certainly happiness to be able to talk to him and have some serious discussion instead of useless small talk or gossip that we get more often, unfortunately. Well, this video makes me happy enough to feel inspired and go on living in my world. Thank you so much for sharing!

Прекрасное тонкое откровенное интервью. Его музыка связана как и с лучшими моментами моей жизни, так и с тяжёлыми, но до сих пор восхищаюсь им. Тот случай когда человек прекрасен и снаружи и изнутри.

У меня почти так же и столько же лет назад, только клип sacrament, мне было 9, сейчас почти 28) Мне кажется если я когда нибудь увижу Вилле, то сколько бы мне не было лет,во мне завизжит та 9летняя девчонка))) ❤️

You can call it an interview, but this is an excerpt from the DVD "Digital Versatile Doom" (without the Russian subtitles), which also contained the recordings of HIM's two appearances at the Orpheum. There was also the original version on KZread (without subtitles), but it seems to have been deleted.

I'm seriously respectful of this man's erudition. He's read a lot and he's thought over a lot. He's also lived through a lot. He's wise. I may not fully agree with everything he says but I respect his views and the experiences that led him to them. I also wish I could have a conversation with him. :)

Как же Вилле прекрасно передает энергию, силу через музыку собой. Слушая,.я всегда ощущала что музыка звучит вокруг: в небе, в деревьях , в ушах всех людей , словно ее невозможно не слышать. И это странное чувство боли и очищения через боль, мне казалось чем то моим индивидуальным, но это сила музыки. В этом интервью разговор по душам , когда ты молчишь, но словно все сказал. Спасибо

I could listen to Ville for hours. Absolutely love this interview 🖤

When I was 14 I started off by just liking their music, now I am 24 and I still love them. I have forgotten/lost interest for most of the stuff I was listening to back then, but HIM is still with me. I dont listen them all the time, but I occasionally get back to them. And the only reason is that I have watched most of the Villes interviews on KZread (and trust me, there are tonnes of them) and i really like him for who seems to be through those videos. His character is a huge part of why i keep listening to the music, it is not just the melody for me anymore, it became much more then that... it is now mixed with respect and admiration. I wish he wrote a memory book, I would love to hear what he has to share and say on and about certain things. There is no other band that i have so much mental connection to. Sorry for a long post. :)

I had a nudge to listen to HIM again, especially ‘Resurrection’ - my favorite... Then one youtube link after another had led me to this interview 🎆 Not easy to impress I feel the presence of a real person behind the stage charisma, someone with similar values and outlook on the dark side of life. Honestly I had missed out on a lot of HIM songs, led astray by struggles. Catching up, and this made my day. 🦇 Authenticity in pure and beautiful form 💕 I especially liked Ville’s take on writing without trying to please the audience, in uncensored state of grace... yeah his comments on books hit hard. Thank U 🙏

Yes, he started this new project with a Finnish band Agents. Their first single "Orpolapsi kiurun" was released few days ago. The song is in Finnish and it's quite different stuff compared to HIM, but you could check it out!
