You know Zidane and Guardiola were top class midfielders before. One of their best strengths was Vision and Anticipation, same as Michael Carrick's. And don't forget Zidane and Guardiola had never managed a first team before taking over Real Madrid and Barcelona. In Carrick I hope!

You know, you're on to something. Zidane and Guardiola were indeed top class. Just as much as Gerrard, Xavi and Carrick. I'm curiously watching these three, how will they manage their teams until the end of the season. These attributes such as vision, anticipation could be crucial as a coach for sure. Carrick has now years of experience in the staff and definitely has his own ideas. I wish all three of them a good rest of the season, and we'll see.

The difference would be that Zidane was under Ancelotti for sometime so he did get good experience and learning from top coach, Similarly Guardiola and Mourniho were under Van Gaal. What Carrick needs is guidance from a top coach. Hope when the next manager comes in for the Job, he sticks around to learn a few things.

I am not advocating for Carrick to get the Man United job and I dont think he should be the next United manager, but I bet in the future Michael Carrick will be a better tactician and manager than OGS. In one training session and 90 minutes, he showed everything that was wrong with OGS over the last 2 years.

This is our club, and we love it. Micheal has different ideas, he played Sancho in his fav. position had the balls to play Bruno from the bench. The only thing this team hasn't have for a longer period of time is playing style, since the great, Sir Alex even then it was counter attacking. So we want a new perm coach in Poch. who have won nothing doesn't have a playing style and was sack by Hotspur, what is wrong with this Ed Woodward.

Porch has a playing style I am honestly sick and tired of SIR ALEX FERGUSON AND HIS BOYS"LEGENDS" INTERFERENCE in the club affairs we need to put the MAN UTD WAY/DNA CRAP in the past, get a new coach to shut out the legends and let him imprint his style on the team... Klopp doesn't play the Liverpool way or Pep the City way or Tuchel the Chelsea way and they are winning trophies while we are stuck in the past with the MAN UTD DNA bullshit...that was SAF'S WAY he did well but it's time we moved on... towards the end of the 2011 UCL finals, SAF was shaking in his seat, he was helpless, he knew there were new coaches in town with better tactics and they were going to embarrass him...the reality is We love SAF but it's time for us to move on

What i like about Carrick, is he doeant try and come across as he's not. Honest and straight... but with an air of class avout him. Same as he was as a player really. I wouldn't be against him having the job til the end of season

For the last 7-8 years Man United have evaluated managers and players for many times, from world class managers to club's legend. But actually fans have never evaluated their toxic attitude. They think they deserve to attack and bully their own managers and players because they are fans. In other clubs supporters mean people who support, in Man United supporters mean, people who terror players and managers with hatred

@@sayeretmatkal6136 Agree 100%. But the other issue is that neither LVG or Mourinho were supported properly. They were given some funds but they never had full authority to their thing. Mourinho was told to use Sanches fir the shirt sales. Fred was purchased even though he did mot want him, Martial, Pogba, Jobes, Shaw were supported in spite of Mourinho wanted them out. Those four are still terrible.

He deserves a chance to become a permanent manager

Scares me that my undertaker sounds better, Carrick was the best CDM in England and a true winner but was never a leader, very rarely gave interviews and was fantastic by me. However he just can't manage such a club, his tactics are meh, I mean not subbing McTominay is a clear indication that it was Carrick's decision to pick Scott. He was absolutely dreadful, if it weren't for Sancho and CR7, we'd be staring down the barrel, choosing VDB as CAM is a massive mistake. Donny is not by any stretch a CAM. I'm waiting to see whether Carrick picks VDB in the pivot alongside either Fred or Matic and bench McSauce. Until then I'm Carrick, Phelan and McKenna out asap.
