Thank you for recognizing Boromir’s innate goodness. Some people just dismiss him as weak for being so easily corrupted. But he wasn’t easily corrupted. The ring is pure, unfettered EVIL. It corrupts even the kindest and most noble of hearts. That is why even Gandalf himself dared not to even touch it. I hope you watch the extended edition of “The Two Towers”. There’s an additional five minute scene which will provide you with a greater understanding of Boromir’s character and the pressure he was under from his father. Great reaction, guys! I was very entertained! 👍🏻

Poor Aman. He was already sleepy when the film started. But if a story keeps you awake for 3 hours, it must be a good story. He was reminded of the tales his grandma told him. I've only read the tip of the tip of the iceberg that is Indian folk-lore and mythology, but I'm sure, he's going to like these movies. Thank you, Aman, for singing that song at the end. From what I recall of all the reactions to this movie that I have watched over the years, Ruby is the only one to remember that Frodo was wearing the mithril shirt, before it was revealed on screen. She was so immersed into the story, it was really fun to watch. Best comment ever: "Hit them on the head with a slipper!"

Pls find The Jataka Tales are a collection of stories about the previous lives of the Buddha. The stories are intended to teach values like honesty, morality, and self-sacrifice. The stories are said to have been written between 300 BC and 400 AD. The Panchatantra is an ancient Indian collection of interrelated animal fables in Sanskrit verse and prose, arranged within a frame story. The surviving work is dated to about 200 BCE, but the fables are likely much more ancient. Wikipedia

i love seeing people reacting to Lord of The Ring And Ruby is very clever and intuitionnal about it Aman is also very interrested in the story but the thing i respect the most is that they understand Boromir He never wanted to betray the Fellowship but the Ring take his mind and he Indeed take redemption for his bad action over Frodo by saving Merry and Pippin with the price of his Life He was a great Soldier and a Great Man, he died with Honnor

"Hit them on the head with slipper!" Surely the ultimate weapon of mass destruction in any world. :D :P And I had no idea until seeing this that the phrase "abra kadabra" was not universal. :D No reason it should be, it just surprised me to find otherwise. :P This is not meant in a negative way, but I just wish one person watching the scenes in the snow would notice that Legolas was able to walk on top of the snow drift everyone else has to wade through. It is a small detail that is easily overlooked, but it does speak volumes to the different strengths of each race and the attention to detail the producers put into making the movie.

She was picking up on things many people missed and I was sad the other group didn't realize Boromir repented immediately and gave his life to save Pippin and Merry and she saw that immediately. Now I can't wait to see their reactions to the other sequels.

EDIT: Are they gonna watch the other two movies?

I love how Aman mentions that the movie is getting serious right after Bilbo passes the Red Book to Frodo. In-universe, the LOTR series is that Red Book, and Bilbo writes the part up to that scene in his more lighthearted adventurous style. But the remainder is supposed to be written by Frodo after he returns to Hobbiton at the very end. At that point he's experienced some pretty intense stuff (stabbed by morghul blade, venomized and almost eaten by demon-spider, abandoned his closest friend, ultimately succumbed to the temptation of the ring) and so with all of that mental trauma his writing tone is MUCH more serious. That's why he leaves at the end of ROTK, because he's so changed that he doesn't fit into the home he returned to.

I'm so happy to see Ruby have a chance to see these films. She's really getting into the story and action, and her predictions are so intuitive. I think Ruby and Aman would be interested to know that Tolkien was very concerned about the growing mechanization and loss of countryside after the First World War, and that helped inspire him to write this story. BTW, the Shire set in New Zealand is still maintained for tourists to visit.
