I feel bad for Tan Sixin, she definitely deserved the Bars title :( and even more cause she didn't make it to the London Olympics

Tan sixin was also such a phenomenal girl, sad she never got the recognition she deserved. Idk what is the problem with the Chinese juniors nowadays, they are probably the best in the world at junior level, but just fall apart as seniors. But Komova deserved the bars title here.

@@fortheloveofcats2462 I'm almost sure they had the same difficulty value, Tan definitely had some short handstands and those little deductions that add up but Komova hit her feet on the floor. As for the Chinese juniors, definitely, they shine at junior or at just turning senior level but then they get injured or burnout, such a shame so many talented girls don't reach the Olympic arena.

Hi! HoW are you? ㅡ It is the second Thursday of the new year. Seoul, Korea had a lot of snow, and the lowest temperature was -15'C. It is a very cold day. I hope this week will be a healthier/fierce day. ^O^

Legit question... On the uneven bars...is the distance between the two bars a set distance, or is it changed depending on the height of the gymnast?

The bars are a set distance although they are adjustable which is used for training. You will notice that taller gymnasts will spread their legs as they do giants on the high bar. I haven’t watch many gymnastics videos recently so it might just be kids who are able to do them without spread their legs.

I am confused by the 0 point deductions with obvious issues. Is the youth olympics judged that differently? She is beautiful & and amazingly talented, I'm not saying she didn't deserve the medals. I am just curious.

Do you mean the "penalties" section on the scorecard? Because that section is dedicated solely to neutral deductions e.g. stepping out of bounds. None of her mistakes fell under that category, and thus all her deductions were factored into the execution score
