Daniel Canngieter A Healthy, Focused Ragnar is a Better strategist than A Healthy, Focused Rollo. But Rollo is definitely the better fighter between the 2.

Rollo is an important historical figure. His fate and legacy becomes quite ironic in regards to the Saxons, the Vikings and the "kingdom" of England.

100% if we are talking genetically, the Vikings did end up conquering England in 1066 considering William the Conqueror was grandson of Rollo

i truly think this episode broke ragnar, from seeing his brother killing all of his comrades and his reaction to it, plus the fact he has lost the desire as he has said before, and his constant pain from the internal bleeding when his back broke, abd the fact that he's hopped up on drugs, and not to mention his monumental defeat and people questioning his authority and a newer king (harald) in the picture too. at the end u see him muttering away to a severed head, that culminates his losing his own head. so sad :'(

All hail our sisters!!! Yeah, this was an amazing episode... God how I hated Rollo. Unlike you, I despised him lol For the pain that he caused Ragnar... With everything that Ragnar is going through, now this, the biggest betrayal of them all. After he spared the life of this vile vermin when by all accounts, eh should've killed him back in 2x01. You could see how much this hurt Ragnar... Sadly, Ragnar's mind wasn't into this. The best option would be to divide his forces and attack the towers from the beach, just in case. These towers wouldn't be that effective defending ground troops. And Lagertha... The moments she set foot in a swamp, she should've aborted the plan. Fighting on your enemies conditions and let him surprise you, pretty much ensures that you will fail. And king Harald, he offered no plan of his own. So all in all, I can't blame Ragnar alone... His useless allies couldn't see things as they are as well.

That's the date a new season starts and you should watch it and react to it the same day it comes out (more people interested in your reaction just after they watch it, more views). As much as they try to make Rollo such a “hate-able” character I️ can’t help but like him the most. His battle iq is incredible, his relationship with Gisla, his newfound loyalty and home in Paris is really cool. It’s kind of like watching your kid go off to college in a REALLY strange way. He’s finally figured himself out and he’s doing something that’s honestly good, he’s protecting innocents lives and the culture of Paris (Whether that’s his incentive or not is entirely up to debate, but it is by proximity what he’s doing). It’s all relative and from a certain point of view. But, of course, a part of me will always miss Berserker Rollo...

The defeat was Ragnar's fault because he did not out think Rollo.. That attack plan was $hit, and Rollo KNEW exactly what the Vikings were going to do. (The Vikings should have moved their full force by land and attacked & destroyed one of the towers. The French towers could not provide cover fire on each other, they were too far apart. AFTER burning down one or both of the towers, the Vikings would have had a clear path to Paris.)

you guys need to know that Ragnar, Rollo, Bjorn, Floki and many more are based on real characters and real events before you wish someone dead at a certain point. The show tries to follow history in a sense.
