The origin of braids can be traced back 5000 years in African culture to 3500 BC

And? Every single race of people had them since the beginning of time what’s your point? If you actually did break research or picked up a book or two on its history you will actually see that they can’t pinpoint who had it first because everyone had it…because that’s what hair does naturally over time if they let it. No can claim this hairstyle 🤷🏻‍♀️ (or any hairstyle)

No it doesn't. Ya'll act like you own braids. My people have always wore braids, way before Ya'll were ever here.

Also the braids and beads are viking style by often having nordic runes on the beads. :) nit citing where braids come from. Theyre not box braids. SImmah down, nah. ❤❤❤

historically vikings never wore dreadlocks. there is not 1 documented peice of reference and one of the most common item found in viking age burials are bone or antler combs. hay go nuts and have white girl dreads but their not Viking anything as just the word viking means traveling in old Norse done from the 9th to 12th century and i doubt you have a time machine to go exploring by sailing with your dreads... lol

Dreadlocks go all the way back as early as 1500 BC, all over India, pre Columbian America, Kenya and Ethiopia. :) there are some small references throughout viking literature that have been infered as dreads. "Snakes for hair" etc but it's definitely not a proven thing. But but but: 😂😂😂 you CAN make neo-viking dreads. Bc it wasn't a thing, in stone, in history doesn't mean it can't be. Lots of ethic backgrounds have roots in locks. Idk why the year is 2024 and how much melanin you do or don't have in your epidermis, based on how close or far our ancestors were to the equator. 😂 ah. It actually bums me out.

Locs back then on Africans (and every other race because every single race has had them) are literally the same exact thing It’s what the hair does naturally overtime when you don’t brush it and you separate it into strands/sections to create individual locs It’s common sense tbh considering in order to get LOCKs you have to LOCK up your hair

Vikings did not have dreadlocs. At least thats what actual historians ok viking history say. They actually prove why. Do your research. Looks cool but not part of viking history.
