To everyone intrested I can recomend you an awsome trilogy about Vikings, or the Viking Age. Written by Tim Severin, the trilogi called (1) Viking, Odins Child (2) Viking, Sworn Brother and (3) Viking, Kings Man Very beautifuly written with powerfull stories and all you people love and more about the viking age.

Another point - there are not photos of vikings wearing horns. The whole horn thing is a myth. No archialogocally recovered viking helmet has horns attached. Who ever started the horn thing? Wagner perhaps?

True. But you have a smal problem when it comes to Snorre. He dident live when the Vikings was at the hight of ther maight. So dont belive evry thing. And yes he mentions smal fragments of Swedish history early 1300 th century but not mutch.

No you should always be sceptical :) Even historians. Wrong snorre is not more or less reliable than any one else. He didnt experiensed the viking age himself. He writen down old tales that hade travled from person to person for generations. One must always be careful with the info. Specially when it´s about the vikings.

We know what hapend, but not exaktly wy or how it happened. Yes we know mucth but not as mutch as many whants to belive. Invasions, yes, but we do not know exaktly how many it realy was in the armies. we can only gues the numbers. So we know some, but not as mutch as many claims we do. And the documents that exists is ither writen by christians or by the grandsons of the Vikings and so on.

Sorry, there are no Novegian vikings anymore. You´ve got all blended out. The only real vikings left are us Icelanders and the Föreoislanders.

wikipedia sucks. There is so mutch missing there. I takes great leaps over importaned parts of Swedish history. There where people from tha area that today is Sweden that took part in the "Vikinga tåg". There is plenty os rune stones that tells that. And the swedish vikings where mostly fokusing on there "Vikinga tåg" to the east. So pleace if you are going to read Scandinavian history dont use sorsces as wikipedia. pleace use good books in stead.
