From what I’ve heard, we aren’t sure women fought in battle as shields maidens. Was a grave site of a warrior woman leader in Ireland related to the Norse. But shueldmaidens could’ve been women or wives that gave men weapon/shield replacements or they did fight side by side. I believe we aren’t 100% on which
