Out of all the academy concerts (both paid and free), this concert is simply one of the best. The Music Academy needs to provide Vignesh the main slot starting from next year. His voice and breath control are mesmerizing.

i dont care for music academy selection as log as I can hear him in other sabhas of course in u tube since i live in Paris!!

Super singing. Heard about him and listening for the first time.

I wish Vignesh was allotted some more time..his creativity is amazing..thanks to all who supported this initiative..able to enjoy M.A concerts from home!!!🙏

Not able to listen to TMK in Academy. So what, his disciple will fill the gap. He not only filled the gap but created a unique space for himself filled with aesthetics ! Vittal and Sai great performance.

Vignesh was excellent as always. He should have been given more time. His mohanam was outstanding. It is time Academy moves him to the main slot.

The resonance in his voice! Divine.

Vignesh is always at his best.This concert is better than his best.Vital and Sai provided great support.

It takes vidwat of an extraordinary calibre to sing kalpana swara-s in Paras so convincingly. Tremendous concert.

Excellent. How much I miss Music Academy this season. Great to see this initiative; kudos to the entire team.

The opening song “Neelayadakshi” uncannily made me think of great John Higgins. Why? Did JH sing this song? Is it the pronunciation? Anyway, made a great start to the concert. High standards of performance by the entire team. Vittal Rangan is certainly going places.

Looks like muhamadeen followers singing sanathana dharma music.

Disgrace for the Legendary Carnatic music world for Sporting "A Big Beard" and deliberately looking like a Sufi singer, No Forehead Marks to show he respects Hindu Sanadhana Dharmam but wants to sing the numbers of Mahans and trinities.. it's better ALL such and such people with such and such Ideosyncracies, due to their association with the Disgraceful TMK, STOP singing Once in for All..... Good Riddens...😠😈

Sir, it is not the forehead marks or associations with people which show disgrace, it is the mindset of people, Vignesh anna is a vocalist par excellence and one of the senior most disciples of TM Krishna sir(who's a legend indeed, disgraceful might be the so called RASIKA'S mentality). It would be good if we realise this quite soon. Music is meant to open people's minds and not political barriers. No offenses intended🙃

Sobhana(Nagalakshmi) Lakshmsnan. Super Kutcheri. From start to finish. Neelayathakshi was a refreshing starter. And athuvum solluval was just superb. Ranga baro also. Yes I agree with the point of view that the the "oordhwa" or "thiryak" pundra on the fore head is a must when you are doing an upaasana, Nadopasana here. Nadopasana is not a joke. Tradition should be followed. Here "change" is not a mark of progress. The promising performer may be well advised to follow our stalwart gurus of yester years for his own benefit.

Absolutely, Mr. Srinivasan. We should boycott him and other Sufi singers from the past like Dr. S Ramanthan and Yesudas who had the audacity to sing about Hindu gods with beards and no forehead marks! Definitely should ban Ustad. Sanjay Subramanian as well.
