Finally someone else who doesn’t like the placement of the ports. I gave mine away for that reason. The flimsy door covering the posts was always in the way. The weight of plugging anything in would tip it over. Other than that, great sound and okay picture. Auto keystone not great.

If you want it to have a longer battery life you'll need a physically larger battery, which results in a larger device, higher resolution requires more expensive components and also a more expensive optics, same with zoom. This is made at a price and size point. You want 1080p native and a brighter image you'll be looking at a much larger and more expensive projector. It seems pretty good for what it is, an easy to carry around projector that works well in a darkened room. Also remember the larger the displayed image the further you have to sit away from it, therefore the lower image quality isn't as noticeable

Thanks for the overview! Could you speak a bit more about AirPlay feature while streaming videos for YouTuve/movies from the iPhone? Does it still freeze or lag making a streaming of a single piece of a file useless? Thank you.

The projector has caused a problem for the first time. It froze on the splash screen and just stayed. Nothing else opened it remained on the screen with the parrots. I'm trying to turn it off, it doesn't shut down, the keys on the control or the machine do not affect. It continues to work. I turned off the screen saver is still working. The charging lights are on and there is a fan noise, I can understand it from here because now there is no image, it does not project any image. How can I reset this? Do you have any information?

The video would've been better if you showed the video quality more, just by playing regular media. And at 5:25 you say you wouldn't make it your go-to portable projector...well which one would be?

Thanks for this review. I like the compact design, however I think I'll hold off until a Mark 2 is released with higher res, better quality construction and longer battery life.

I thought the M2 doesn't even have a battery??

The USB-C port, is it for charging the projector, or drawing power out of the projector to charge something else? I tried hooking up an external battery to the USB-C port to see if I could charge the projector on one of those big batteries, but nothing happened, unless I was using the wrong, USB-C cord, but I don’t think so.

Can you explain USB type C. I'm searching for a portable projector thant can be power up only with USB type C. On ViewSonic website they claim there is for power and video but at the same time they said that the power brick must be plug. I need to now if a can take my Anker PD charger and this projector on the go and charger it thorugh USB type C only. Great video.

THE PORT IS IDEALLY PLACED SO I OBJECT TO YOUR OPINION, I SOMETIMES USE THE CEILING ON MY ROOM TO WATCH WHILE I'M LAYING IN BED SO THE CABLES ARE NOT AN ISSUE OR. BOTHERING ME WHEN I PLACE IT THIS WAY. A LOT OF YOUR OPINIONS ARE NEGATIVE, ABOUT THE SPEAKERS, THE KEYSTONE, ETC BUT TO HAVE THIS KEYSTONE FEATURE IS ALREADY A HUGE PLUS COMPARED TO OTHER PROJECTORS. SUCH A DISAPPOINTMENT..

The attached photo is of the projector projecting onto my white closet doors. I still have not messed with the settings but I can't wait for our first family movie night on a larger scale. If you have issues with volume not working with your firestick, go into volume settings and you will find your solution there.

480p is a deal breaker for me. Thanks for the review.

The hardware is great, but the software is garbage. There is no apps such as Hulu or Netflix. So you're stuck with unreliable apple airplay or a wired connection. Not worth $300.

you can watch Netflix on this projector, if you connected to Laptop, or screen mirroring, also the new update of the model will have built in Netflix app. also if you want higher resolution and built in Netflix, check M2 new projector from ViewSonic

There are people using 400 lumens or even 1000 lumens monitors now. Why would you point the light source directly to the camera.. hurts my eyes.

Are you watching this video in 480p? No? Then that's your answer. Yes? Then that's your answer.

Can you not just plug in the charger and charge it as you play a movie??? So, if I want to watch say, 8 hours of KZread, would that be impossible???

Worst device, C type cable suits for only few mobiles,even samsung 10 plus also not suitable,no OnePlus no new gen mobiles connect to the given C type option, if wireless connection mobile videos doesn't play from Netflix, Amazon prime, Hotstar,zee5,sun nxt only audio plays,but from youtube you can play videos, brightness is very dull, all of it very garbage product, don't ever think about this product.
