Modern Son Mai painting techniques discussed and demonstrated by Hanoi artists. It introduces the history of Son Mai painting, its process techniques, and how Son Mai painting is an affirmation of their identity as they enter the culture of modern times.
We sincerely hope that conveying the magnificence of Southeast Asia’s lacquer crafts and traditions, possibility of forms, and diverse decorative techniques will deepen mutual understanding between Japan and other nations and societies. And serve as a message of prayer for peace.
