    Thank you! This is my first really successful attempt with sand texture. I had done it once before on my MP helmet but I could have done a lot better.

    @@SimonOfFortune For texturing I find that sand is harder to work with than cork as the sand is much finer. To scatter the sand evenly I used a narrow mesh kitchen sieve.

    The first time I did sand I used actual sand and the grains were too big, the second time on my MP helmet I used the blasting media as seen in the video but the grain was inconsistent. I sifted some through a sieve to get an even size. Sprinkling it on by hand from high up gives me pretty consistent coverage since it has time to spread out

    Technically others wet their helmet covers put them on the helmet and let dry so it can form fit as the cover dries.
