@bluesapphire4262
Жыл бұрын
@@best_actor_kevin Office workers, teachers, etc. Due to currency difference, the minimum wage in my country (small city) is around 100 USD per months for an average of 45 hours work per week, far less than a dollar per hour. So a dollar per hour is already considered an average wage. Some white collar jobs and such. My dad was a director in the local bank, a very high position almost directly under the owner, he earned around 3 USD per hour and already considered high earning in the city. It's just because of the currency. One dollar is 15k rupiah, the price of a full course meal plus drink in a diner. Rent cost around 20 USD per month for a room, a house big enough for a family with kid probably cost 50-60 USD. So earning 8-10 USD per day is already enough to live fairly comfortably.

Yeah, I like watching old Chuck Norris movies to get into that old time Vietnam culture. Love the place!
I was there and went on a long bike ride when it was 95degrees and 95% humidity. At the end, I stopped at a roadside stand across from the very nice resort I was staying in and grabbed 8 ice cold beers for $4. I went down to the pool where other bike riders were and handed them out. The next round we bought at the swim up bar in the pool and they only cost $1 a piece! A wonderful place to visit.
