Beautifully sung...and accompanied! Well done. One if my favourite pieces...almost unknown in the UK!

The best bitchier ever, and a wonderous performance of "Puri Concinite" the soloist and his high A's was awesome!

Perhaps I lack some of the expertise of the critics below, but I listen to this beautiful performance for enjoyment and inspiration and find some of the critiques totally inconsequential and rude. Why do we have to be so nitpicking or, dare I say, deprecating? Why not thank God for the outstanding talent demonstrated in this interpretation of a marvelous work?

I believe this piece is most suitable for boy sopranos to sing!! Very nice singing by Konrad.

Konrad was in 2009 14yo. I don´t know what he now is doing. I shall try to find that out.

No, I wasn´t. I´m "only" a fan of a lot of world famous boys choirs (and that since 1954)..:) Contacts I had "only" with a few members of the choirs.

Really nice voice, usually the best soloists are the older ones like him, just before the voice change, they have the years of technique and bigger lungs and muscles to project sound and maintain a great sound. Really good material

In the meantime I was very often filming performances by the VBC. That of course was not allowed. So I´m very happy that the choir tolerates my publications..:)

Nicely done, I enjoyed this and That soloist is absolutely badass.

The best BOYCHOIR ever! My phone really misspelled again and with a "naughty" word. Ach Du Lieber!!!!!!!

@@plasticbucket The VBC has 4 concert choirs with 4 different choir masters. All the other well known boys choirs world-wide have one concert choir only. Sometimes (!) the VBC let perform an election from all concert choirs.

Buena pieza.. He escuchado ésta canción en la grabación del disco PLACIDO DOMINGO Y LOS NIÑOS CANTORES DE VIENA DE 1976... (quizá la mejor versión que haya escuchado de esta pieza con orquesta y de solista.)..... y cierto, lo que dice ESCOLANIADS..... el tempo es algo lento lo que dificulta las pausas para respirar.. y la respiración del solista ... lo que hace que corte la canción por falta de aliento..... .. he escuchado comentarios que los directores recientes, de la escuela donde residen los niños cantores de viena, ya no es buena.... anteriormente en los 70s y principios de 80s tenian muy buenos directores de musica.

You are so right. Konrad for me was one of the best boy soloists ever... I sent the link to his FB-account and he was very happy about that...:))) By the way. There are many former boy soloists of the VBC now as adults interested in their own performances at YT.

My friend treblefan77 is very sorry about the bad way of filming with his camcorder. In March 2009 he had only less experiences with his cam.

Es stimmt! Etwas zügiger hätte das Tempo sein dürfen. - Aber insgesamt sehr schön dargeboten. - Der Knabe am Klavier hat mich sehr beeindruckt. - Der Solist hätte die hohen Töne leichter haben können, wenn er richtig geatmet hätte. - Mit kurzweiliger Schulteratmung ist es nur sehr schwer zu singen...Vielen Dank!

Es gab damals einen weiblichen Fan des Solisten in China, weiß ich...:) Das Mädchen machte sich große Sorgen, dass der Konrad zu wenig Nahrung zu sich nahm und schrieb das den Wienern auch ins Gästebuch..

Ich bleibe dabei! - Die hohen Töne klingen piepsig, weil der Solist die sängerische Haltung nicht einhält. - Bis zur Vollendung ist es allerdings nicht mehr weit.

Gracias por compartir. También soy de la opinión que va un poco lento y hace que el solista respire inoportunamente (ya tiene una mala respiración clavicular en vez de diafragmática) y pierda el fraseo en alguna parte de la canción. Quizá el no ir tan deprisa era para facilitar al joven pianista el acompañamiento, pero el canto pierde la dulzura y la continuidad expresiva.Lo salvan con una buena interpretación Gran voz. Gracias por compartir

Toelzerfanclever Gracias. Cuando recibí su respuesta. he estado investigando y leyendo más sobre él ( en idiomas no destaco) y me voy haciendo idea de él. Gracias por los enlaces (creía que el boysoloist seguía cerrado. En Face le he visitado y apenas tiene cosas. En KZread le he encontrado también. Gracias de nuevo. Disfruto con cada publicación que hacen. Aquí en España no es fácil encontrar y escuchar tantos coros buenos (pero los Hay)

...tambien, me doy cuenta que los niños que ingresan a esta academia, ya no son niños blancos en su mayoria; muchos de otras razas.. y disculpen, pero existe la idea de los propios sabios y profesionales de la música que los niños de raza blanca poseen un timbre de voz diferente al de otras razas.....o, dicho en otras palabras, cada raza tiene su propio timbre de voz caracteristico ,y por lo tanto, si quereis conseguir un unísono en sonido, habrá que tener ésa sensibilidad auditiva a la hora de elegir un coro . Lo mismo he escuchado decir sobre tocar instrumentos...

😂😂🤣😂🤣😂😆😆😅😅😅 They're one of the best choirs in the world, regardless of the colours of the boys, or where their ancestors come from.

The audio is what matters, and the soloist was lovely. That's one of the smallest places I've ever seen them perform; do you know where it was? And, not a complaint, but, this version seemed a bit slow to me...still a beautiful song, wonderfully performed.
