I am lucky to know Paolo in person. He was my voice teacher for a while...Greatest of singers, wonderful person and a good teacher! I believe, that Paolo is underappreciated . His art should be made more known to opera lovers of today.

Was really loved by the people of ireland when he sang regularly for the dublin grand opera in the 1950s he was a superb baritone i have a few of his cd and 78 recordings a classy singer indeed

@Barone Vitellio Scarpia That is the problem because people cannot get that from CDs, only fewer knows. Warren has different voice too, very warm and his own style. I love all 3. How come we are so pity to have none today.

It will pain you to know that del monaco was one of his closest friends,and paolo is to have said in a 1998 interview from his home in rome that some of his very best performances were with del monaco.that aside i whole heartedly agree with you,he is also one if not my favourite baritones,he had class,a beautiful voice and was a fine actor,sang for the dublin grand opera many many times

Agree whole heartedly,i was only speaking to a man who knew him very well when he sang on many occasions for the dublin grand opera society in the 1950s he said silveri was a thorough professional,a great pal,very courteous,encouraging with all fellow cast members and an all round nice guy
