The logger isn't killing trees. He's culling a dead tree. A healthy tree doesn't split like that. And he has seen it before... Because he is primarily employed for culling dead trees. Trees like this are often poor in lumber so they end up being used for pulp mostly. That pulp makes a lot of toilet paper. Culling dead trees is important because one of the most important nutrients for a tree is light and that tree coming down provides more light for other trees so they can be healthy and strong.

Literally any book on keeping fish in a tank tells you to buy a specialized fish tank called a nursery to put pregnant fish into so the other fish in the tank don't eat the fry (baby fish) or eggs as they are released. The design for a nursery tank I'm familiar with hangs off of your main tank like a filter and pumps water from your main tank and aerates the water when its pumped into the nursery, so the water quality is shared with the main tank. You keep using the nursery until the fish are big enough not to be bothered by the adult fish in the main tank.

  • @herranton

@@Chris_Sizemore nah, just let em get eaten. Unless you are specifically trying to breed the fish, it's a nice snack for the tank. i remember when i was a little kid we had an aquarium setup with a pregnant fish, we had a nursery that was basically a mesh cage that sat inside your tank at the top.. but we also had zebra fish i think they were called, and those damn things were smart.. they would wait for one of the babies to get close to the mesh wall, then slam the mesh upwards.. and because of the way the nursery thing is designed, we couldnt close the lid to the tank, so the baby would pop up over the mesh wall and into the main tank and be eaten.. i couldnt even be mad at them, it took some creativity to do that

Ok... I must clarify this problem so that it never returns again. The anthem played in the vine at 16:35 is NOT the Italy's anthem but its the anthem of a very popular party, that no longer exists, called "Forza Italia". The anthem became a sort of a meme in the Italian community because it describes an ideal place, far different from what the situation really was in Italy at that time. Also, Italy's national anthem is "Il canto degli Italiani" (The Songs of the Italians), also known as "Inno Di Mameli" (Mameli's Hymn) in honor of the songmaker Goffredo Mameli. This song is far greater then the Forza Italia's shitty meme anthem. Now that I clarified this remarkable mistake, I'll go back to slumber only to return again when another error is made. Arrivederci!

Crocodiles are so chill sometimes but not others because they can go a long time without food as they have really strong stomach acid that can dissolve everything including bones over time to provide them with nutrients. I think the longest one has gone without eating was 4 years in captivity and it was still perfectly healthy. This is probably how they survived when the dinosaurs didn't. They will probably be more aggro when they are younger and still developing or when they are hungry, probably also why it just gave up on the turtle, it didnt really need the food to survive unlike some land mammals that when they hunt prey they use a lot of energy, meaning they only have about two hunts in them, if the first one fails they may be able to attempt a second but with a lower chance of success, if not then they starve.

@5:17 - uh, Jeannie... not all forestry is as bad as you might think. Many companies have realized the value of doing it responsibly, clearing in sections then replanting, it actually helps the forest. It clears out old growth, allows the harvesters to clear out all the underbrush and overgrown shrubbery, clean it out before replanting. Know what happens if they don't? Raging wildfires that burn down entire cities.... TMYK 😉 Take a look at the innards of that tree he cut. It wasn't long from dying and falling, possibly doing damage to nearby trees, and becoming the fuel for a potential future forest fire. This way, we get useful wood out of it and can clear that section of forest of its debris.

Actually, I also work at a workplace where locked doors can be opened from one side. With us it's a safety measurement. Our offices are always connected to the hallway and at least another Office. In case of an emergency, especially in case someone ran Amok, we're supposed to look our doors, so nobody can enter. But IF someone entered your neighbours Office for example, you could flee through your own doors without having to unlock the doors from the inside. It's quite nice knowing that, though in 6 years gladly something like that has not happened.

There are security doors in modern buildings that can be locked from one side only. So in a case of emergency you can run out of the building while you would need to use the key to get inside. To reverse this or link to a security system probably wouldnt be that difficult considering electric controlled closing door locks also exist. So I woukd think the guy that wasnt able to leave couldnt until the lady opened the door from the outside, which maybe was intended that way for easier excess for police forces.

You do NOT want to lock a robber inside a closed place tht could be filled with dozens of potentional hostages. The initial camera angle there is not great. It does actually look like he tried to pull it at first, failed, and then resorted to trying to break through it... I certainly hope that's not the case, because if they did design a system that deliberately traps people inside, they're not smart enough to handle money... but the point remains that those doors definitely exist. They're not even uncommon. But they should exclusively lock from the outside.
