honestly I don't trust square enix to make any good games lately. either they are bad or mid...but won't deny, I'd love to see the crazy stories of our favorite idiot and his awesome battle theme

I believe Enix ruined everything, almost all the staff left and moved onto better things. As I understand it Rebirth did not sell well, but I do agree with you that we can not trust Enix to make any good games lately.

子供の頃、父親がFF8プレイしてたのを見てたんだけど、初めてゲーム音楽でカッコイイって思ったのはこれだった。あとラグナめちゃくちゃいい男！って子供ながらに思ってた。

どこかでもコメントしたけどガラケーの時これが着信音だった時がある マシンガンの音が裏で鳴ってて センスが凄い良かった😌

Here it is. The most popular song from the entire game. My #2 favorite for just how upbeat it is. When I first heard this, I immediately knew I was in for a treat. Laguna could've easily been a main protagonist of his own FF, or a spin off. Now I wait a good while for my favorite FFVIII song. (Gonna be a looooooong wait)

one of those video game experiences where you're not expecting this song but remember the first time you hear it and easily recognizable - I remember a few years back on FFRK my bro, there was like some kind of event about recognizing music and he doesn't know anything after Final Fantasy VII, and he was playing the little snippets of the music and they only played like a few seconds at a time and when I heard this one I automatically knew the title and album and composer just from the first two notes ... for context, I've played this game when it first came out and the demos even before that like a quarter century ago, and I've been completely blind for several years now

I sometimes try to time Laguna's attack such that the sound of his machine gun overlaps with the snares. This is nostalgic.
