I'm from Rostov. Everything was civil and peaceful. Civilians mostly treat Wagner soldiers as heroes. Weather this was a psy-op or a serious disagreement between Wagner and MOP remains to be seen, but it was definitely not a revolution West was hoping for. Prigozhin was always loyal to Putin and he never publicly criticized him. His beef was against Shoigu, Gerasimov and other Kremlin officials, who (according to him) misinformed Putin in many occasions

Yeah. I'm Montenegrin and I have seen the real faces of our media today, for hundredth time. The moment Wagner said they captured Rostov, basically nobody waited a second to see what he says next but made headlines "On the brink of civil war!!". It's so annoying. Ukraine losing is not our interests but they should be honest towards us. They knew exactly what's going on there, just that they want to overexaggarate it.

It was a staged stress test for Putin, to exposed those in Wagner and the military who are disloyal. Prighozin wasn't trying to do a coup. He was helping to expose others who might be disloyal. There are two main factions of opposition to Putin-- the communists and the ultra-nationalists-- who might want to see Putin deposed. Well, now he has a pretext to deal with them.

Prigohozin has a 10th floor hotel room waiting for him in Belarus. It’s a nice room with great big windows that open all the way.

Except that if the details of the deal are true, he has achieved everything he wanted without even stepping foot into the Kremlin. The removal of the entire MOD & FSB being replaced with men in Prigozhin's pocket, effectively robbing Putin of all of his levers of power right from under him. Compounded with the pardon to the PMC (which I do believe, as any attempt to forgo this pardon would simply be met with armed rebellion by Wagner, which Russia can't afford) & Prigozhin basically being given his own fiefdoms in Belarus & Africa, free reign to do as he pleases surrounded by men loyal to him. Putin has effectively traded his power for his life.

I think it was staged. Lots of uprisings in the civilian sector in Russia. Putin needs to appear as a caring leader to appease them. Arresting 1000's of anti war protester and arresting them without trial wasn't good for business. This dude pulls mutany " I want justice for our people." Hum. Putin needs to pull out of that war cause no army left really. Not one that is going acomplish anything. He can't say I lost. Now he can say my general lied to me. Putin may have cancer. Rumor is that he is dying. Need a successor. Mr rebellion have been very close friends for years. I think this was create optics for some reason. Absolutely correct. My guess is that lukashenko has been in poor health lately so he gets to retire in turkey. Prighosin gets to take over the military in Belarus and Putin keeps Russia. This is very bad news for Ukraine.

I'm no expert on executing a coup, but if I was Prighozin I would not have telegraphed my hostility and intentions so forcefully and publicly. You start your coup in the capital in close proximity to the president. If he would have just rolled his army up the highway to Moscow in a benign fashion, he would have been able to take over before the Russian government knew what was happening. But instead, he whined on social media for weeks.

I dont understand why prigozhin would attack ukraine (again) as he outlined clearly in an interview in last dqys that he thought the war never should have been started, that only few bullets exchanged in donbass on a daily basis. Prigozhin said shoigu initiated the war so he could get another gold star on his uniform.

That's because this is all for show. I can't believe ANYBODY is dumb enough to believe any of this. Wagner & Putin are buddy buddy. Putin could've blown him up had he wanted to. Had he been a threat Putin could've made it an accident like so many others. This was a media play while Russia stacks up & draws Ukraine into it.

Well the problem is you're taking for granted his honesty

Prigozhin is no tactician. He's the picture of "To the man with a hammer, every problem looks like a nail." His successes rely specifically based on brutality and war crimes. If he knew what he was doing he would have sent his loyal troops into the outskirts of Moscow in civilian clothing and only announced the coup after it was over. Instead he announced his intentions internationally. Some might say that was by intention, and that he never intended to commit a coup d'état but wanted a political win over Putin. Possible I suppose, but I have yet to see Prigozhin do anything that smart. He's all "Hammer Time!"

By doing it internationally, he is covering his bases should it have failed. Remember, his troops have committed war crimes, Prigozhin is looking at some time at the Hague. No, he wants to be seen as the Hero of the Motherland, which is funny because a good portion of his troops are common criminals he salvaged from Russian Prisons. I think he just wanted an audience, political theater for Putin, by blaming the MoD, he separates the General Staff from Putin, but Idon't think Putin will be hugging Prigozhin when all is said and done.

This is the type of situation where we may learn more in days or it maybe decades before the truth comes out. Those images of Prigohzin & his mercenaries being treated so warmly will not be well received, that's for certain! The ripple effect from the last 24hrs seem to be anyone's guess considering all the coverage I've seen from multiple sources across different countries.

Reprisal will be very narrow in scope. All hands, especially experienced ones, are needed by Moscow. Pergozhin used a foolish method to push his point, regardless of how legit they were.

Good point. I thought Wagner was reciprocating to the DONBAS region, and the boss is going to Belarus to keep an eye on the nukes. But this interview confirmed what I just said.. relocating Wagner to Donbas and Belarus. In Donbas.. Ukraine is gaining grounds there.. in order to slow this one down.. Wagner is relocating there to attack the Capital. This truly make sense because the 3 day scenario never took place using regular russian troops.

Well this is disappointing as Hell. And yes, something smells fishy. If the rebellion was real, rather than a big theater production, Pooter will NOT forgive Prighozin, despite what he has stated. Priggy HAS to know that, which makes it all the more suspicious that he suddenly stood down and turned around. Doing so would be signing his own death certificate IF THIS WAS REAL.

Of course it's real, there is a load of video footage of Russian helicopters getting shot down attempting to bomb Wagner forces and an oil refinery. He turned around because he would have been flattened.

He turned around because marching to Moscow was certain death, turning around at least he only has the possibility of being dead. There's nothing suspicious. If you announce ahead of time you are attempting to overthrow your government, you have severely limited your options. So he went with the least worse option.

It's entirely possible that Belarus simply "bought him out". He's a mercenary after all. Now, here's an insane thing to suggest. But imagine if Lukashenko is taking this as an opportunity to, himself, sieze power in Russia? Reinforced with Belarusian troops, it's a whole lot shorter to get to Moscow from Minsk..

That was Putin’s Chef…you have to strike a deal especially with a person who knows the amount of salt you like in your food🤣

Is he really being exiled to Belarus as they say, or is he being re positioned to Belarus and will attack Ukraine from there. Maybe that is the deal he made with Pukin and Belarus will provide him with the ammunition he kept crying about, since Belarus is not to happy about wanting to join the fight. I'm hoping Ukraine is ready for this possibility.

Big mistake by Prigozhin, he should have moved on Moscow. No one challenged his battle tested forces and no one would have challenged them when they reached Moscow. He now gives Putin time to recover and Putin will eliminate him behind the scenes.
