Ok. So you’re saying a camera mounted on the Statue of Liberty shook without the statue shaking? Maybe the camera shook a little more but clearly the shockwaves traveled through the statue and it shook to some degree.

I literally climbed to the crown in 1986 right after they had just finished the massive renovation in 1985. And as we were looking out the crown windows (it was a particular windy morning in October) we could feel the statue and the window platform moving slightly. As we looked out the right side windows near her right arm holding the torch, I could actually see her right arm moving slightly. 👍🗽

The statue was built to move and shakes literally all the time. If you've ever tried to climb to the crown, you can sometimes feel the slight shaking.

U know ppl won't believe it until they've experienced it themselves I went all the way to the top of Miss Liberty at 15 years young on a sunny normal hot summer day and for all you skeptics FYI she does move. I never been back inside her since 😅😂😂😂😂😂 and that was 34 years ago. We just see each other daily from across the water #BrooklynNYNative.

Sorry. I dont mean to demean what people have gone through but as someone who lives in the Pacific Northwest I find news on New York/East Coast ironic. We have wildfires every year that make the air quality worse than Beijing and nothing is in the news about it besides local. Happens once in NY and its thr end of the world. Earthquakes are a regular occurrence here (2000 in one day off the coast of Vancouver Island) and it barely makes the news. A camera shakes of the Statue of Liberty and it makes headlines. Smh
