Just use common sense and basic social cues. Be aware of the duration and intensity of your look and use it as needed. Each situation may look a bit different. I also know your being a bit sarcastic. lol Use it wisely in general. When I first learned I was a bit much but still effective. Now I'm learning to be more natural with it.

@@edwinlol7831 They could, but it's not even close to real life. Go out and make eye contact with people, Put yourself in tough situations. Remember, even if you fail, you're still better than before. And if you're afraid of making eye contact, think about what some people do.

Another problem I have is that when I walk down the street I look at someone for a second (for example, me looking to the left where that person is) and then I look to the right where there is no one, I have that bad habit.

I think you just have to rewire your brain to do things differently. Try to be more conscious the next time you are in a conversation and keep reminding yourself to maintain eye contact. And for the street thing you can imagine yourself maintaining eye contact everyday. Your brain can't tell the difference so it will become easier to do so next time you're on the street. This is actually a great approach to things you find difficult. I personally use it everyday. If you can't do it, Imagine yourself doing it. Most of the time it is your self image which is holding you back and by imagining you can break that shitty self image and build a new one capable of doing more, in this instance, Holding eye contact. It is an excellent, skillfully done video and very realistic, but yes real humans can have blemishes, asymmetry, facial tics, imperfections, and astounding nuance in facial expression. (Like being able to search someone's face for truth or lying is amazing)
