Not sure if anyone has mentioned the origin of the "Save Me/I'm Fine" phrase, but it started out as a depression/suicide awareness tattoo symbolizing the complexity of and difficulties with identifying and understanding depression. I believe it started in Singapore, but gained even more recognition when a young college student in the U.S. got the tattoo and shared it on social media. Depression is a silent killer of so many, and I'm so glad that BTS is spreading this subtle message, as well as helping so many with their amazing music.

The craziest thing is how the music track for "im fine" is basically the track for "save me", but in reverse with some editing

I'm pretty sure there is a bit, however not as much as one would think. Like we all know that the floor falling was practical however I think the fire part has been exaggerated. There was fire there on the day for sure, but I believe that was to help with lighting the scene and Suga himself. For safety reasons, I doubt what we see was 100% practical effects. Obviously correct me if I'm wrong. What I really like about this MV, and a lot of the older music videos especially, is how practical they really are. That probably has a lot to do with budget among other things. I always like to see how they manage to create really clever effects without the use of CGI. In recent years, CGI has become kind of an easy way out which I find sad. Don't even get me started on green screens.

Why is this me introducing BTS to my literature teacher?? Ps: at first she said she doesn't like getting into fandoms and stuff because she said she's too old. Now she's a whole ARMY 😌Her bias is Jhope

Every time I see a video mirrored it drives me crazy, my mind is automatically correcting it.

The concept is complete... is the lyrics of struggles of an idol that building themself as puppets for their fans, and also, the search for a way to escape without finding a way after realizing that they are sick of it. For these, this song is practically the middle of the journey of love yourself (second album of the trilogy). Additional, the concept is complete with the photoshoot that shows them in boxes with Camara and eyes around them. The two (video and introductory photos) complete the image of the meaning of the song for the viewers. It´s awesome the complete structure of each design, which also is completed with the dance. Even the colors are related to other previous videos. they change bright to dark to middle tone for the development. Additionally, we (fans) really love and appreciate the magnitude of the camera direction, the smoothness, and the complete understanding of the dance by the production staff. We know that BTS is not only the boys, is a complete group of professionals that blow away all the pre-concepts if you have an open mind.

You mouthing along to the words and fanboying gives me such joy.

Dylan, I can't believe that being such a passionate ARMY you don't know that RM wrote this song and he said it's about Taehyung 😉🤗

It would be amazing if they could react to both video versions of black swan: the art film and the official mv!

Also Jhope's mom did leave for another country to support Jhope's dream of becoming a dancer financially. So even if it a story they relate their real life experiances in the songs. It's a linear storyline.

With BTS's talent they don't really need CGI or big sets...Save Me is a perfect example of that. 💜

I love the way he looks so excited from behind at his friends to see their reactions, that's me with my friends, parents and anyone when I show them something related to bts and when you can't be calm and you have to stop to explain....that's pure adrenaline!

I'd love for them to see the entire BU storyline. Especially the I Need U, the Epilogue, short films, and highlight reel.

There definitely is some CGI in this MV, but they combined practical effects with CG.

Ok so to answer to your friend question. Bts actually start working in a new album from the concept, before the sound or the lyrics wich i find super hard and fascinating and also their albums are often divides in trilogies. I think that's the reason why their albums are so versatile and it seems like cycle of their lives. I don't think anybody could immagine their success they are famously very mature and deep boys Save me and i'm fine are connected lirycally, there are words and clear references between both songs and the beats are almost the same!

the fact that you radiate Army energy is what made me subscribe. You ain't fake and it shows. 😭

BTS is a cash cow to their agency as well as the S. Korean economy, tourism too. Keeping that in mind, no amount of amount can or will replace the artistry of this group. I have to mention that the dark haired man knows so much, that he could actually do the reaction alone. Informative, smart, honest, a pleasure to listen to him.

The boys are very involved in the final product. They always monitor their video shots after each take to weed out mistakes and BigHit spares no cost. If anyone, be it the video director or the boys, wants to retake a shoot, it'll be retaken regardless of how much it costs. They put perfection as a priority. What they do is art performance of the highest level.

I love Dylan going off in the back rapping along with Suga’s verse, such a mood. Same.

I love watching these reactions! I think having them watch the run trilogy will help them understand more of the story, i also want to know what you think of the webcomic that tells more of what happens in the story! It'll help you notice more of the symbolism in this mv and other ones! Stuff like Jin's scene with the windows tying back to when he goes back in time. Also Save Me MV was a one shot with no cutting scenes together and i want to know your opinions on how that works and how to best plan something like that!

The video lagging is probably either a choice to avoid being copyrighted or a bit of a mess with either the rendering or the screen capturing of the video. The effect they're talking about is not the lagging, it's actually there in the video, but if you don't know what to look for you don't realise it's there, it just evokes a feeling, so to speak ;)

@@aroundtheworldvideo6570 yeah, I'm not the cinematographer in my friend's group but a LOT of my friends either studied movie making or work on it, so if I concentrate I find the effects, I just had never stop to think about it here, I tend to concentrate more on the final feeling, but when they said it was there it just clicked! Like "RIGHT, that's why it feels like that" XD

The MV producer who worked with BTS is koreans. They are legendary because they worked with almost every big groups in korea and also in movies. Their name is Janibrothers.

OMGGG THE IDEA OF CHOREOGRAPHY IS SOOOO GOOODDDDD!!!!!!!

They write the songs based on the theme of the album and their album themes are planned much ahead, like 1-2 years ahead the release date. The members are then given a keyword for a song from the album concept and from there, they produce the beat or write the lyrics based on that single keyword. So everything feels cohesive with the album storyline. For the entire storyline in for all thr music videos, they had it planned since 2014-2015 when they started HYYH Pt1 album with I Need U.

2017 was the year they got a lot of recognition worldwide and late 2017,early 2018 they had a really difficult time where they even discussed about disbanding, they also wrote outro:tear in that time which is dedicated to the other members and it's in the same album as fake love.. It wouldn't surprise me if they didn't plan it out from years ago when they would gain more attention to put it out but rather be a more personal song which they really meant

The wings short films come before the highlight reel, so if you wanna go in order do wings first, however highlight reel connect more to the realism presented in run and I need u, instead of the symbolism of wings short film. So if you want less confusion watch highlight reel first, but if you wanna watch the storyline in order do wings first.

Tell me I'm not the only one checking Dylan's channel everyday for a new video.

Bts are the type to olan things out years ahead but then to put it into a song. They take all the feelings rhat they have and thoughta and just make music wirh it; theu stay tried to themselves. Each year they come out with a concept a storyline and they make the albums connect through said storyline. If you ever think but has cgi in a mv a lot of times its not; if you see water or fire its usually real id anyrhing when it comes to making a dream like scenery its usuallt a set that big hit staff built themselves. Army are everywhere and we supoort our boys and can solve any problem or mystery

DYLAN IS ME, when im recruiting new ARMY to the system. you see just letting them be amazed on how good the MV is, then dropping a bomb that theres no CGI in it, then dropping another bomb that that mv has deeper meaning in it. without them even knowing theyre already drowned from all the amazingness of BTS 👁️👄👁️👌👌😉
