@@janinak38 Their 2 debut songs are Whistle & Boombayah. They debuted in August 8 2016 with Square One which has *both* . Dunno why some people still argue and still get this wrong 😅. Not only is this official info, it's also old news. Square One is a dual-title track release. But I understand the confusion though since they have said multiple times Whistle is their debut song, then they went on to say the same to Boombayah as well 😅

Actually their official debut song was Whistle, they said that in Light Up The Sky. Boombayah was their second song, you can even watch the debut show case and you’ll see

For the record, the sound they're making is actually (I believe!) an arabic/middle eastern 'cheer' sort of sound, when I was belly dancing a million years ago that was the sound other girls would make to cheer on the performer, it wasn't related to native american culture. :)

Fun fact the room where they dance in the wall of glass in the background is actually made up of water bottles. BLACKPINK are still experimenting with their sounds and it makes them fresh and exciting but I loved Boombayah era it was fun it was energetic you could dance like crazy to it for me this is the one song that ticks all the boxes

Also, they were still pretty new at YG so they haven't 100% invested their budget in them yet (but Whistle does seem to differ 😂). Now, they are YG's biggest money makers and they better treat our girls right. Since D4 era, their sets have only gotten more and more expensive looking. Sheesh

I can't believe there are a full three songs that are unique. bruh it's my opinion and its true. they haven't changed neither their theme or music style. except a few songs. even their "different" songs are similar.
