Just discovered you on Instagram and came to check out your KZread channel. This series was excellent! As another commenter said, the time and detail on the joint were really informative. There is a refreshing lack of ego and self-congratulation in your style. As this was early on in your YT endeavor, I’m guessing the production values of your newer videos will show some growth but I say that as a professional filmmaker and what I see here takes nothing away from the content which is the most important part. So glad to have found your channel.

Ian, that was a very nice message, thank you. I wouldnt give my production value too high of a score. Simply wanted good content. An area to grow right!? Thank you for the encouragement and thank you for following along. Messages like this make me want to get better.

Great series! What is the purpose of using the scotch brite for putting on the oil? I've never heard of this. Just always seen it done with a lint free cloth.

This is the suggested application method by the manufacturer...I think they suggest this because it absorbs less oil than a cloth. I will have to look into it.... :)

It was recommended by the oil maker. I think it might clean out the pores of the wood a bit or possibly absorb less oil than a cloth - saves oil??.

You mentioned scotch brite pads, would you happen to have an amazon link to the ones you use?
