Varmint rifles indeed. I bet the shorter weight rifle would be fantastic for a walk around gun to go on pasture patrol for woodchucks, or out West for rockchucks. A prairie dog setup would fit the bench rest rifle better, I think. Other than it being a single shot, no magazine type action, of course. They’re both beautiful rifles. older rem 700 great rifles .new one not so sure .shot lots red red in scotland uk with older rifles in 270 win . just great .
