Good luck on the maiden! Watching this model being built has been fun. I built a model from a kit, but lack the funding to buy covering material and tools to finish it. It's been sitting on my desk for 3+ months and this series makes me really want to go cover and finish it

+Orion121802 hi and thanks for the message. This project too has had to take a back seat from time to time, so sadly I've missed the best of the summer weather for flying it. I hope you get the funds and time to finish it, would be great to see it - what's the kit?

The kit is a sig something extra. I bought one completely built and flew it twice and my radio browned out, causing a terrible crash. I thought this was the best way to use the parts!

Interesting solution for the control rods - could you have put it in a carbon tube ?

+zenflying hi, yes, carbon tubes might help and I'll see if I can install if I'm not happy about the control surface throws.

Great videos mate!!! What glue did you use to glue the windows in place??

Thanks! I just used super glue, nothing fancy. Windows just needed to be held in place, and I didn't want the added weight of epoxy.

@@StartingOutInRC Thanks for the reply mate. Ive read that super glue can fog up the windows, is that not the case then? Subbed you mate. Great videos straight to the point

It can of you use too much. If you overlap the window onto the balsa and apply the superglue along the edge it will wick in underneath, holding it in place.

Why not put the servos closer to the Tail? Easier to service if something strips.

Hi, moving the servo back will move the CofG aft. It would then need a lot of weight in the nose to compensate. Not good on such a light model.

+amdom gz hi, the weight is the total weight, i.e. take-off weight. The motor is a 22x28 brushless outrunner turning a 7x5 propeller. The battery is a 1500mAh 11.1 volt 3-cell Li-po. The electronic speed controller ESC is 30Amp. Radio is standard 4-channel, but uses micro servos as they're only 9g in weight. Are you building the Millie Bob too? Or something similar??
