I agree. The duet between male and female performer is much better than solo with a choir. I still enjoy it enough to hit the like button.

A whole choir makes this my favorite version, the conductor had so much more control, Chorus made the clarity of her voice increase the artistic presentation.

Sarah Brightman can make chopped liver and rotten onions sound delicious! She is so smooth and exquisite!

Best part in Hannibal!! Beautiful!!

amusedbygod I actually agree with him...The Brightman version somehow doesn't give me the gooseflesh that other versions do and I'm a Sarah Brightman fan...To me it just feels flat.

OMG my favorite singer singing one of my favorite songs ever!!!

I just don`t understand the negative comments about this version. To me, it sounds like heaven- very moving and inspirational.

I love how Hannibal has a high interest in this music. In my eyes, He's not a Psychopath. He's disappointed in humanity. One of the most powerful things in this world is the innocence of ones pure voice. Which is why I believe he enjoys this so much...A voice is one of the rare things in the world who become unaffected & retains it's purity. It's quite beautiful the deep you think into it.

What a solemn, moving ending to the Live in Vienna concert. As usual, this piece is sung brilliantly by Sarah. Absolutely magnicicent!

To all the previous "close-minded numb-skull-wanna-be-experts-on-classical-interpretation"...noone MAKES you listen to this version but it's excellent and offers a fresh perspective to a beautiful master-piece...don't trash it just because it's not YOUR favorite interpretation the pre- and interlude are exeptionally well done!

I fell in love with Sarah's voice as the original London cast of phantom of the opera. Her talent is amazing..that said, this song is not for her. It sounds like a shell of the original made for film opera for the hannibal film. Patrick Cassidy is a fantastic composer, as is Hanz Zimmer who also works often with Lisa gerard and anytime they collaborate, the results are deep and of hymn like purity. Without those deep, resounding replies (as in this attempt), its horribly lacking. That is one of the context specific facets of Lisa Gerrard's work such as scores for black hawk down, or gladiator (or this piece), it uses this deep earthy, ethnic resonance and pairs it with replies of soft angelic pure tones.. that was what was used by Zimmer and Cassidy to make this ghostly sound (fitting for the taste of the character Hannibal). Sarah is amazing, truly talented, but her efficacy was lacking in what was needed for the deliverables of this performance.
