😀 About VideoShowMeHow
-----------------------------------------------
⏩ Where did this start?
I really enjoy tinkering with different projects - they usually require a whole bunch of research and learning along the way. It's satisfying on doing a thing and standing back and going 'Yeah! Totally did that!'. I had a bunch of mates asking 'how did you know how to do that?' and 'I couldn't never do that myself so I thought; I need to start something where I can help others that might be thinking the same thing :)
⏩ What will you find here?
The purpose is simply to make these videos as top quality and helpful as I can. They will always be free, there's ZERO agenda and the only motive is to try and upload what I would want to watch to help with that particular project. I'm also keen to keep building this little community and will try to answer all questions when asked - fire away :)
⏩ What's with the gloves?
Not after any KZread fame here which is why I'm not in the vids - they're not about me they're about the how-to! I used the gloves for the first couple of projects I filmed which just happened to be messy ones and it kinda just became a thing. Plus adds a little more personality I guess :)
New videos are being uploaded regularly so if there's something you'd like to see, have Questions and/or Comments drop me a line.
Cheers guys.
Adam

Mate, no offense to other folks, but after sitting through lots of videos for this product, yours was spot on! Clear & simple, well explained and didn't pad it out with pointless information (like laboriously unpacking it, complaining because they didn't include 2 screws to mount the buzz bar etc.). I'll be checking out your other vids now.

Mate - Absolutely brilliant videos. By any chance do you plan on doing a video or two regarding connecting your battery box to any sort of tub (canopy) lighting / rock lights, etc?

Gday mate, love your videos very informative! I am thinking of doing something very similar but also adding an 1000w inverter. One question do i connect the pos/neg straight to the battery as it requires much thicker cable and draws so much power or connect in to the POS to fuse block and NEG to the victron load side, or if you could point me in the right direction would help massively.Cheers for your videos mate.

1000w is drawing about 78 amps at 12.8 so I'd go negative to shunt, positive to battery positive.. that way the bmv will read anything the inverter pulls etc

Hi Adam, what size cable did you use for the shunt to busbar and to the - of the battery? Still 6 b&s? Or did you have to go lower gauge? Thanks

The master switch installed between the midi fuse and the starter battery: what purpose does that serve, and when would you have it on/off? Thanks for all the help man!

So I can isolate the system 👍 Eg if I removed the box for example, no live current being sent to that Anderson plug. Also lithiums don't tend to like being stored at 100% when not in use so I tend to only have the system on when I'm running a load (eg fridge on etc)

@@VideoShowMeHow so would you use that master switch to "isolate" the system when you are at camp so that you don't drain thr starter battery when running accessories etc?? Or is the redarc clever enough to prevent that from happening..
