Not to pick but that is not a 1958 International. It is either a 1954 or 1955 International. In fact that cab was last used on International pickups in 1956. They went to another style cab beginning in 1957 and used that style up until around the early sixties. True the year of those International trucks were titled the year they were sold, but I rather doubt this vehicle was sold as new in 1958. In fact when one went into an International dealer to buy parts for International equipment (includes agricultural and construction as well as trucks) one had better have the model and serial number as there were changes made in the sequences of manufacture. In fact commercial trucks in today's climate require this information.

Thank you Mr. Bird, it did turn out to be a 1954, we got 1958 from the doorplate. We were unable to read anything on the plate but 1958 because it was stamped. I do appreciate your comment and information sir.

@@StewartsGarage Yes sir that particular cab actually came out in the L series around 1950 replacing the KB series and as I mentioned 1956 was the last year for it. I am sure you fellows are going modify the truck from original, however finding things that are unique to the model it does help to be in the ballpark on the years covered. The front end on that truck is different from the L series trucks as it appears that the grille section is different (I personally like the R series grille, it appears as though the truck is smiling at you). I have seen some of those cabs with a full back window but I like the split back window design. We had a R120 International. My Dad bought it either new or slightly used (cab and chassis) I remember to this day when he picked it up at the International dealer in Atlanta Ga. I will assume he traded in a 1949 International KB1 that he bought used. Good luck on your project.

Ok, why is it called Stewart’s garage, is that your surname? Are you a qualified mechanic, if not, who taught yo about engines, tractors etc?. I’ll e your commentaries and the banter that goes on during your video, the production will get better as time goes by but really enjoy your channel
