VICTORY, 20 years in the making at Macon Speedway's Herald & Review

“Twenty years I’d been trying for that,” an elated Jason Feger said in victory lane at the Mighty Macon Speedway immediately after winning the Herald and Review 100.
“This race, to me, means as much as it always has,” Feger said. “I’ve been coming here for a long time. I think I won a couple of these when I was helping Billy Drake back in the day. I’ve just always wanted to get this one bad for some reason.”
“We’ve won races here, just never the Herald & Review. To finally be able to pull it off feels great.” Feger had won Macon's 60th Anniversary event in a tight battle against Joe Ross, Jr.
Built in 1946, Macon is an extremely fast, tight 1/5 mile dirt bullring which always provides exciting action. The Herald and Review is one of Illinois' most prestigious dirt track events and has been around for 42 years.

I think they are lights in the pits. Probably an old style so they have a yellow hue to them. Camera probably intensifies that yellowish hue.

Owens is a fierce competitor, we enjoy racing him. That night, the initial contact with Jimmy caused mechanical damage on the car preventing it from turning. We never want to tear up other drivers equipment or ours.
