I admire the ingenuity necessary to create a multi-tool such as this Victorinox or a Leatherman. Ditto for bicycle multi-tools like those offered by Topeak, Park Tool, Crank Bros and the like. They’re compact and offer a variety of implements. But my admiration ends there. To me, they are the epitome of compromise, a ‘Jack of all trades but a master of none’. If you’re caught short and happen to have a multi-tool ‘solution’ close at hand, then what’s not to like? ‘’Any port in a storm’, as the saying goes. Yes, they’re clever as hell, but I find them cumbersome and fiddly as hell and not particularly comfortable to use. But as the old lady said when she kissed the cow…..’Every man to his own liking’. Totally agree. Multi-tools do not replace the proper tools that are in my toolbox. Thing is, I can't carry my 5 foot high x 7 foot long toolbox on my belt or be near it all the times. Thanks for checking the video out and commenting.

This just oozes quality. I've read many accounts of the tolerances staying tight for 20+ years. I kind of prefer the one without the without the one hand opening tabs.

It does feel top quality, like it so far. I hardly use the blades on my multitools with the exception of the Skeletool CX. That's one multitool that I will carry and use as my main blade. Thanks for checking the video out!!!

I had one of the old Swiss Tool's a couple of years ago. I think it was the MX. It was really well made and I liked it a lot, right up until I lost it. I had bought it used in the first place and I have several Letherman tools so I never replaced it. Everyone know the high quality of Victorinox if I am every in the market for another multitool I will defianly give this a look.

I have a few Leathermans but wanted to try something else for awhile.. Haven't really had a chance to use it yet but far the Spirit seems very well built and planned out. Thanks for checking the video out!!!

Congrats on getting a new Vitorinox, I'll still stick with my leatherman surge though add it has certain features that I can't do without. Thanks for the look see and keep making sharp things fun and enjoyable

Oh I'm not getting rid of my Wave + or Skeletool. Wave is in my extra edc pouch and I'll probably carry the Skeletool alot during the summer. Looking at Victorinox knives to pair with the Skeletool. Thanks for checking the video out!!!

I'm glad you got one of these. After about 7 years of having my supertool 300 I've been looking at these for a change. I've always had Leatherman and think it's time for a switch. I love my victorinox Swiss army knives so I'm guessing I'd enjoy this. I look forward to hearing your thoughts as you use it. Great video Jack 👍

I'm pretty found of my Wave+ and Skeletool. The Victorinox is pretty dang nice. I really haven't hardley used it but I'm liking it so far.

The eyeglass screwdriver will fit in the bit holder and in the ends of the bit wrench for easier use. I don't carry multi tools, except a cheap Gerber for work. I carry Knipex Cobra or Pliers Wrench in the nylon Victorinox 111mm knife pouch along with the tiny Channellock adjustable wrench...fits perfectly...so I put a 111mm Victorinox in the pouch with the bit wrench set. Just a heads up on the eyeglass screwdriver.

I just tried it and it absolutely fits. That's awesome and good to know. Thanks for to tip, no one has mentioned it before. I also carry knipex pliers and knipex pliers wrench especially at work. Thanks for checking the video out!!!

over 5 years in use wind and weather no rost at all awesome tool best for me

I owned Leatherman tools for years. Retired them all for the Swisstool X.

Thats agreat looking tool and pouch,looking forward to your updates.ive just got my first wave + and so far I'm loving it.i think the main difference is the diamond file on the leatherman tools is great for putting an edge on a knife.enjoy brother.atb paddy 😀

The Wave + is great. Totally agree on the diamond file. I use it at work to sharpen the scissors we use. I'll give the Spirit X a try but the diamond file and the Leatherman bit set will missed. Thanks for checking the video out!!!

The tool itself might but it's the bit set for the Leatherman that's hard to beat. I use the bits alot, going from 42 to 10 bits.

Outside dimensions are 4.5" long, 2.25" wide and 1.5" thick.
