I was cringing when you were batoning on top of what appears to be concrete or stone paver of some kind. It’s an easy way to wreck your blade. While camping I once lent my fallkniven f1 to a non knife buddy, he started batoning firewood on top a rock, I got it back full of chips. My fault though, I should’ve given him a mora to play with.

Your friend is an Asshole. If you borrow something, you should take care of it better than your own stuff. If he damaged it the way you say, he owes you a new knife!!

Ohh dang...well I think it's safe to say that if you got a blade on a rock repeatedly you might think twice about continuing, even if you're not knowledgeable about knives?? But your very kind not blaming your friend. I too was cringing hard over reserving it over concrete...

@@nosreuter He apologized profusely and offered to replace it. But, he also thought the knife was 20 bucks lol. When I told him how much it really was he his jaw drop. But he still insisted, I refused, we’re old buddies and since have made it up to me. I got most of the chips out except for a couple of deep ones and the convex grind is pretty wonky with my inexperience in sharpening this kind of grind.

@@CytoplasmicGooNow that's friendship thru and thru👌 You could probably leave it at some professional sharpening service if you want. But I bet it looks pretty savage and hard core with some nicks in it. Like it lived to tell the story kind of thing!

I dont think that knife only batons and scrapes ferro rod. Let's see alot more. Maybe feather sticking or cutting veggies and meat or tip test? Cut some paper?

That knife is made in Spain by Muela. All victorinox did was put their name on it. That's why is 3x more expensive than it should be. Look it up

The advertisements for this knife don't mention what type of steel and I assume it's stainless and probably 420 - 440 . A guy named Felix Immler designed this blade and people should check out his videos and his many uses for the Swiss Army Knife . I'm going to order this knife today and thanks for the video Buggingin .

If the branch is still moist inside maybe, it's not dead. Nice backyard by the way. I could keep myself busy all day with a back yard like that. The knife seem a little overpriced. Made by Muela if I am not mistaken.

Nothing gained from watching it. More than half the time wasted in sawing the test limbs. The froe test by itself is hardly the test for an outdoor knife. We have no idea what the effect was on the knife edge. Very Amateurish
