Geri seems like such fun friend to have that you could talk about anything with without judgement or awkwardness

Geri is always my favorite, it's interesting to see Victoria and Geri's friendship. The two most gorgeous, smart, sexy, hot and fashionable in the band. They can be a rival in the group but both are sweet and kind and never had a jealousy to each other.

But more importantly can we talk about Victoria saying to Geri “you must have been STUPID not to know” right after?! They’re talking about it like it already IS public knowledge and I absolutely love it!!

They just got too tired exhausted of each other, they should have relaxed after 2 years of whirling the world and do their own thing before coming back together after a month or two. With that the premature split could have been prevented.

At that point I think she wanted to invite her(one year before the wedding) but after the David Beckham scandal happened and Geri didn't call her she decided she doesn't want her at her wedding which is fair enough. I don't think she lied, she just changed her mind.

You know, you kinda see something building up here. You can see Geri slowly furthering herself from her silly Ginger image, venturing intro talking about serious issues in interviews and the girls making fun of that. I can see why she didn't feel encouraged to do her cancer spokesperson thing. Watching early '98 interview is so interesting, you can see the 'Ginger' washing away from her perosnality.

Victoria was molded and shaped to fit a specific role, that was being the very “posh, never really smiles, intimidating, dare I even say “bitchy” type toll in the Spice Girls. Victoria was told what to be like and howto act, even in Spice World, she still keeps up that image because that was the part she was told to play. Back when the Spice Girls were everything and everywhere, when my father waited on a K&B toys line for over four plus hours just to try and get a spice doll for me (got me baby spice and Ginger Spice, thought I didn’t care, whatever he got I was very happy with.) I also went to see their concert minus Ginger Spice, and I collected those lollipops, lol. My point is, Victoria was very young and at a time where social media wasn’t even a figment of someone’s imagination. We only got glimpses of Vic, and when we did sh was acting/filling a role set forth by her team and managers. It’s not like today where stars can actually socialize and have direct conversation with fans through IG, Tiktok, snap, etc. This is why the old quote about first appearances mean a lot is an excellent example, still till this day those who grew up in the spice girl era just cannot dissociate Victoria fro, Posh, and they still feel a little intimidated about her, even though she’s clearly hilarious, smiles a lot, joking and being funny, we were brainwashed something pretty different and it unfortunately does stick.

The only thing that's different when it comes to these both Spice Girls; they're older & wiser. Through 26 years in showbiz, they developed their true identities; of course they're different today compared when they first started as a girl group. They made mistakes when they were younger like we all are.

I don't know where I read it, but who cares about Vic's 'class', Geri is perfect and special the way she is!! Without her there would have been no Spice Girls like without Victoria!!!

Victoria was so good about Geri leaving, and they all talked well of her. Wish 1D was just as kind to Zayn. Love how the Spice Girls didn’t let jealousy or spite get them hating Geri. They didn't let management get in the way of making them hate each other.

Very interesting. I was about 30 when they got famous. Was not a big fan, but I always liked them. Geri Halliwell was nice, and plump in her 20s, and so cute.

She was clearly hurt by how Geri left. At first she was just sad, after a while she got a bit over that, and a while later she got really cold. I believe that transition was around the time when she had lunch with geri and geri informed paparazzi. I believe she wasn’t that fond of what Geri did around that time.

Mel B and Victoria were not the closest, have you noticed? There aren't too much interactions between them, plus, there have been always rumors of feuds between them. I think it's normal, from all your group of friends, there is one you are the closest with, and the other you love too but interact with in a more casual way.

There’s a couple of variants of this remix, all of them from Junior Vasquez, but the closest to the one used here for One Hour of Spice VHS is the “Junior Vasquez Gomis Dub”. You can find it here, on Spotify or Apple Music it comes as bonus track on the Greatest Hits album and an edit version is on the “Wannabe 25” single they released just a few days ago.

Well, in the beginning, Victoria’s comments on Geri’s leaving the group did seem a little mean and bitter. I’m glad that they’re still friends :)

I don't really know Girls aloud and Cheryl/Kimberly that well. And the videos take too much time for me to make it about people I don't really know ;). The Spice Girls and Girls Aloud weren't active at the same time (Spice girls 1996-2000, Girls Aloud later) so they weren't rivals. Don't know if they supported eachother. The only link I know of is that Geri was one of the judges of popstars the rivals when Girls Aloud was formed.

Cheryl, Kimberley and Nicola definitely don't like Nadine. Read Cheryl and Kimberleys autobiographies for more detail. They are shady towards Sarah aswell, only Nadine supported Sarah publically when she appeared in Big Brother.
