Feodora and Victoria were actually very close and there was no animosity between them. I hate when shows or movies change relationships around from the real thing.

To think now the new generations of royal family have constant photos in mags and an instagram account and back then they had never shown the private lives of the royal family before. Like she thought she couldn't show she was motherly because she was queen. Glad the public proved her wrong.

She was actually worse IRL there was a great series you may be able to find it called Queen Victoria's children, and it shows what an emotional tyrant she was like. It was based on contemporaneous accounts and her own surviving letters. She used to for example, attempt to micro manage and berate her eldest daughter Victoria far into her adult life, demanding that she constantly write to her and describe everything she was doing.
