For those who wonder: Victoria wasn't an only child. She indeed had an older half-sister Feodora and a half-brother Carl from her mother's first marriage. They were a lot older than her, so Victoria did grow up "an only child" but she kept in contact with them through letters. Unlike what the series portrays, Feodora and Victoria were incredibly close and often sent each other parenting advice through letters. Victoria named her youngest daughter Beatrice Mary Feodore in honour of Feodora and was devestated when she died.

No, Victoria's mother had a first marriage, Feodora was a child born in that marriage. Then she married an English Duke, and Victoria was the only child born in that second marriage.

Victoria's mother first married to Emich Karl,(sovereign) princes of Leiningen They had 2 children together A son carl, prince of Leiningen(he was just 10 when his father died in 1814so his mother acted as regent for him for few years then his mother married to prince Edward, Duke of Kent in 1818 they had Queen victoria in 1819)a daughter princess Feodora of Hohenlohe-langenburg
