This is our second attempt at a short run as Legitimist France to restore the House of Bourbon, who ruled France prior to the French Revolution. With the experience of the previous run well in hand, I'm going to be more focused on increasing the power of the interest groups in government that support the House of Bourbon, as well as being more conscientious about weakening the ones that will support our enemies, the House of Bonaparte and the House of Orleans.
In episode sixteen, we wage a war against the Ottoman Empire, and despite some hiccups overall due to rebellions in our colonies in Africa, we're more than able to achieve a successful conquest without yielding anything of value. In domestic affairs, we roll back women's rights at the request of the Catholic Church, and embark on an ambitious program of economic development designed to take the French economy forward into the modern age.
